Cool

No, just the standard STi unit, the angle and a polarised filter have made the plexiglass cover invisible in my photo, but it is there, honest!

To all concerned. I would highly recommend the PPP for the STI7. Had a go in one at Prodrive/Subaru's trackday yesterday and it is absolutely awesome. The boost just keeps on coming up to the red line and it comes some 1000 revs lower too. Sound wicked.

2 months they say - I'm in there!!!!

Have any of you had a knocking nosie from the rear tailpipe side
as after my 1000 service was told rear shock needs replacing its the 2nd one they have had to change but still have some under 1000 miles so they are gonna keep an eye on it. Has this been the case for anyone else i cant belive its only 2 of them and both from the same dealer
please let me know apparently there is play in my rear shock
i did not think any thing of the noise untill they said
(STI 7) prodrive only

Nice one Russ. Drove a blue - black one at the Subaru / Prodrive day yesterday. Any colour still looks goods, even the white one.

When I test drove the demo Prodrive STi before I ordered mine, I had it for 2 hours, and I thought it sounded terrible at the rear end. Every little bump could be heard clunking, and to me it sounded like the near side. I checked the jack and it was solid in its bay.

Mentioned it the sales man at my dealer when I returned the car and asked if it was normal or a problem, he reckoned normal... Nevertheless, I still ordered one and mine has no problem to speak of in that department touch wood, so I reckon that particular car has the same problem.

West Yorkshire dealer that is as well.

Cheers

Simon

Don't worry about it. That's why you buy a UK STi with the three year warranty...

I haven't had any noises from the back. However, I did have such a noise in the old WRX which shares the same set up as the STI7, the techies put it down to a loose bracket on one of the boot lid arms. I thought it was the spoiler loose!!!! Sometimes the noise can be attributable to the wooden panel over the space saver (didn't want to mention that one - can't get a full alloy there - would have thought that a 28 grand car would have a 5th alloy).

Can I recommend to any one to fit mud flaps on the front. Saves the side skirts getting chipped - and they do chip very easily.

coocoo,
Prodrive Performance Pack

Normally new ECU new Exhaust bits maybe Induction bits now fitted at your dealer and the only Subaru engine mod. gaurentee'd by Subaru
The rumoured PPP for STi7 will take it from 261bhp to 310 bhp but more importantly give loads more useable torque

There are a few diff with the JPN spec. Pretty interesting

I have the strut bar, a pink badge with a squiggle on the front grille, small "SUBARU" on the back right trunk and a few other slight differences. I will try and get a pic of my MY2001 JPN spec STI, silver, 800 kms up this weekend. No digital camera so trying to track one down

Nice cars by the way

What colours do you guys have available in the UK. In Oz we've got blue, black, white & silver.
Got any pics of the white?

Steve,
We have the same colour choices as you but I think silver and white are Special order only from a main dealer .... in other words a much longer wait .
Not certain about parrallel or Japanese spec imports though
