Actually Trouty, is there a good twisty route to Malton we could use from the A64?
Just thinking if me n Phooey make good time I'd like to use some of the country lanes rather than the A roads.

Leave the A64 at Exit signposted Hull and A1079
Take A166 through Stamford Bridge and up Garrowby Hill
Get to Fridaythorpe and turn left signposted Sledmere and Scenic Route
You should go past a cafe on your right onto a straight to a roundabout.
Turn left at the roundabout and this will bring you to Malton. Lovely fast road over the tops. Not mega long but nice to stretch the legs and a couple of downhill hairpins near the end. Then you are in Malton.
Take A166 through Stamford Bridge and up Garrowby Hill
Get to Fridaythorpe and turn left signposted Sledmere and Scenic Route
You should go past a cafe on your right onto a straight to a roundabout.
Turn left at the roundabout and this will bring you to Malton. Lovely fast road over the tops. Not mega long but nice to stretch the legs and a couple of downhill hairpins near the end. Then you are in Malton.
