Iv had that before, just becouse they see a young lady behind the wheel they think something is up, tryed telling me i was speeding down abaravon beach with my dump valve going all the time, i sed how cud i my car is (was) lowerd there are speed bumps all along the frount, pluss its a none turbo and havent got a dump valve, they wernt happy and just told me to drive slowly.

Got a letter back today from South Wales Police.....

Dear Mr French,

We are sorry you were not happy with the level of customer service you received on the date in question. Upon review of your complaint we are willing, on this occasion, to take no further action.....

The rest is boring but you get the gist.......RESULT!

Great news mate, definately worth the complaint then!!!

I only wish i had done the same back a month or so ago, after being made to feel a crimminal whilst on my way to work in my own van.
had been to my local plumbing merchants to pick radiators and boiler up for a job i was doing local, passed the plod en route back, not speeding, taking my time up to a junction. Next thing i know they're up my **** flashing lights on etc.etc, pulled over to be greeted at the door by two 6ft plus burly looking cops. Were very very shirty with me, wanted to know who i was, where id been, where i was going, what was i doing, had i been drinking, anything i shouldnt have on me etc etc. answered everything in a polite manner (dint see the point in getting arsey as it only makes things worse) and explained i had bought the van recently after someone writing my last van off,hence the no signwrting on it and them not noing who i was.
The manner in which they treated me was unacceptable, the main **** who was asking all the questions basically didint believe a word i said, was convinced i was trafficing drugs and insisted on carrying out a throrough inspection of the front of my van, in every cubby hole, crevice, under the seats and basically turned it upside down. While this was going on his boyfriend then conducted a complete search of all my pockets, *** packet, wallet everything. i had nothing to hide, so duly let them carry on.
fast forward ten minutes of the front of the van being searched, me being searched and breathalysed (which showed no alcohol) #1 cop concludes im 'kosher' and was about to send me on my way to my amazment. I then piped up "hang on a minute you havent checked the back on the van!!"...."nah its ok" he replies!!!i then explained to him that surely after all the effort he had just gone through the front of the van, and his boyf searching me, surely for their own piece of mind they would check the back?? 'nah,ya arite, on your way'
I could not believe it, after being treated like a crimminal for half hour they just let me go on my way without checking the back. my blood was boiling they really made me feel small (im only 5ft 5 as it is!!) No form or anything presented to me to say i had been searched, which i have heard since is something which they are duty bound to do.
I have been stopped quite a few times in the 8 years i been driving, and have always been tidy with them and most of the time theyve been alright with me, but these two were complete and utter ****** and deserve no respect, and wil gert no respect from me if im ever stopped again by them. I only wish i hadnt have been very busy that week and had filed a complaint.
Sometimes they just dont help themselves
