Classics are now 11 years old in newest form ... and the MY 2000 are the one's to get.
Unmolested Classics are like rocking horse **** ... UNLESS you get the superior Wagon - and that's where my money would be.

cosworth . heritage
scooby .halfords
for those who said that scoobys would be more reliable ,..BULL****!!! its all on the owners to keep it in tip top. the amount of scoobys i seen with bottom ends gone and gearboxes blown is unbelievable.. my brother had a p1 and he now sold it after the engine blew and he lost out bigtime. i have a ford rs turbo mate and it absolutly DESTROYED it for him.im running a 300bhp zetec turbo so you will need a proper scooby to match that which in my years of driving i aint come across.
in my opinion buy a cosworth!! cheaper parrts aswell and better on power

I've never seen a Ford which is better than a Subaru ...... really, that's just plain daft to say otherwise.
And that's from someone who has owned Fords from the 60's on !!!

i like the rs turbo and cossies etc,but any car can be as quick as any other car depending on what state of tune its had.
you have obviously came up against fairly standard/lightly modded scoobs, yes a 300bhp escort turbo will be a very quick motor, but not the fastest thing since sliced bread.

well maybe you need to have a look at some properly modified scoobs.

buy it then the borrom end fails then your screwed loll .. fords are easy the work you could do yourself on a ford its **** easy. and it WILL wipe the floor with a average scooby. like i say i aint got a cossie anymore i got a series 2 running a zetec turbo and never have come across a quick one.. dave on here has one at 600bhp and banny sti on here got a big power one to . ask them whats it like etc they have more experience imo about engines etc on scoobys

my escort is 250 bhp with cts stage 3 gearbox and it still wont accelarate in a straight line by the time its stopped spinning and got the torque steer under control my p1 would be up the road why do you think torque of the devil have put a ej20 engine in their signature car as for me needing driving lessons i am surprised you can drive at all must be difficult fitting your head in the car

.. if you want something people appreciate seeing and aint common then a cossie will be the best. cheaper and will **** over scoobies cant go wrong mate

you need a a quiaiffe atb diff, proper tyres, a bigger turbo [ spools a bit late but scraps the spinning] and by the sounds of it a proper driver lol!

250bhp and you cant keep it in a straight line ? can you not drive? lol .. sounds like you aint actually thought about the set up. you got the power but you cant put it down so whats the point of that lol!

well you do tend to keep stating that you can beat any scoob as they are all slow.
every post or thread ive seen you comment on.....you just make out that your rs turbo is super quick and no scoobs can keep up.
if this was actually true then u must have one serious rs turbo.
