If you read back through all my posts on this thread you will not find one mention of engine failures from me.
As I clearly said earlier in the thread (post 151 I think) VTA DVs can lead to problems such as poor idling, lumpy running, misfiring, poor performance and bad MPG and that this evidence was available via the search.
You said it wasn't, I proved you wrong so why not leave it there as you are really beginning to embarrass yourself now.

No I think you need to go back and read through the posts, I never once said that ALL VTA dump valves work perfectly, I have said time and time again that people should be helpfull and tell people about the ones that work and don't work and I also keep asking people who say they cause engine damage to please kindly show me some proof, I'm not sure where your going with your replies to me but you keep saying the same thing over and over and I never had any debate about SOME certain dump valves causing problems, I only ever disputed the fact that NOT ALL dump valves cause problems and that people should not tell others they will cause engine failure if there is no proof, Why is it so difficult for you and the others to understand this, You embarrass yourself, Not me

As usual same old same old.
Spelling / text speak police taking a thread off topic and dare i say it becoming little more than troll's.
Back on topic, IM AN ADDICT, to the sounds that my car makes that is, it had a vta on it when i bought it, and guess what "I LIKE IT" there i said it out loud i'm a chav and i'm proud.
And i'm having a simtec fitted next week and guess what i'm having anti-lag and launch control
And i really could not give a flying **** what anyone thinks about me in my chav chariot driving down the road with my sub booming dump valve wooshing exhaust popping and banging and flames shooting out the back
I'll be grinning like a cheshire cat felling like i'm giving it large on the WRC
Thats why most of us buy these gas guzzeling money pits.
TO ENJOY

Please just stop replying and let it go as you know what they say.... when you are in a hole you sould stop digging!

No, sorry but you are furiously back pedalling now.

Here is your reply:
You clearly replied to my post saying what I said wasn't true and there were no threads of that nature.

Yes you should definately stop digging You replied to my post where I was asking for proof of engine failures with a load of tosh about some certain 'NOT ALL' vta dump valves that have caused problems, Your going on and on and on about something which I wasn't talking about to start with Read my posts properly and you will find that half the time what I was saying wasn't even relevant to you, It might help if you get someone to read my posts to you and expalin this better

I'm not going to come up with anything other than the truth, I did say that yes but your taking it out of context and you know this, I was referring to the people who say they cause engine failures But you know this and still want to keep on about the fact that SOME dump valves cause problems Not all which is what you were implying to start with, I don't have a problem with people who run dump valves, You still deliberately ignore most of what I have said just so you can pick an argument and try to make yourself feel better by gettin one over on someone, Well it won't work with me and I'll keep on for as long as you do, I notice you have gone from implying all vta dump valves cause problems to now saying they "cause many scoobs to run badly" This was my point from the beginning and this was also made clear in the majority of my replies to you, Anyone who bothers to read this whole thread will infact see wat I mean, You just want to argue and have no case except you don't like dump valves, The argument never was about SOME causing running problems, I'm not sayin "oh sod it" I'm enjoying myself

Why does it matter how long I have been on here for, You obviously have no experience working with engines since before you joined either then Your just another one who obviously doesn't have a very satisfying life and feels the need to try and belittle others when infact what you are saying isn't correct, I have never said I think I know better than anyone but I know there are VTA dump valves on peoples cars that aren't and haven't caused any issues and if you know of one that's caused an engine failure then show me the proof

I had a VTA on mine for about a year. Loved it. Put the standard recirc on not too long ago, and it made everything feel smoother, no back firing, slightly better MPG etc.

Lack of air being passed back from the intercooler to the inlet? Therefore potential to run rich when coming off boost, causing unburnt fuel to run down through the exhaust, making those pops, bangs and occasional flames?
