Back to the original question, not sure what dumpvalve is on the original F+F car, but apparently he was lucky not to blow the welds on the intake with a 100 shot of NOS

If you all wish to argue about the use of text speak generally, then feel free to pop into NSR and have a good old debate/arguement about it.

The fact is, and like it or not, it is against the forum rules to use it on this board. The odd LOL etc. is one thing, but whole posts that the vast majority of people will not understand, simply aren't acceptable.

This is a good point as I quite often see people being slated on here for not being able to spell correctly and it's out of order to be honest

Thanks for the congratulations on paying to support SN.
People that have problems with literacy are not lazy and are definately not retarded, Albert Einstein was one such person.

Thank you for thanking me for congratulating you on your support for SN, however this is no excuse for your ignorance and i doubt that this is a pre-requisite for membership after payment of your subscription, or reading some of the posts on here perhaps it is. Hence i am not yet a full or orange member.

And the people who are doing this are bully's and are allowed to behave like this because of their status such as full or orange member and this in my opinion is unacceptable. As you have inferred, the ability to spell has nothing to do with intellect and this should not be utilised to berate persons over views, taste, style etc.

The issue originally wasn't poor spelling, it was the use of text speak, and it was pointed out that it is against the forum rules.

As for claiming certain members are allowed to bully due to being paid up, that simply isn't true. If somebody is being picked on, due to poor spelling and they are insulted by that, they need to RTM the post and it can be dealt with accordingly.

Oh for goodness sake ,my genuine complaint as I have stated on this thread several times has nothing to do with spelling or dyslexia, it's to do with text speak so please stop trying to take the moral high ground! Text speak does not come about as a result of not being able to spell or being dyslexic!!!

Think we have gone just slightly off topic chaps. If you guys want to debate about spelling and text chat then maybe you should start another thread.

Noticed today the car seems to perform worse when the Dumpvalve is closed over fully opened. Car seems to hesitate when I let off but I suppose the car was mapped with the BOV set with low tension on the spring.

If you catch my drift?

Yeah we're well off topic, Let's get back to arguing about individual tastes and trying to ram our opinion's down each others throats, I don't care if you don't like it because I do so therefore I am right! Seriously though and on topic, Where can I buy the loudest possible dump valve that will destroy the earth and cause Impreza owners all over the world to cry in shame, I cannot shout I'm a **** out of the window loud enough and I would also just like to see how quickly my engine explodes so I can spend the 2k fixing it and then I can start the first thread ever called Dump valve ruined my engine, Oh but wait, Apparently there are loads? Well they must be hid in a secret section as I can't find them, And I can spell!

He can't punctuate though

Good night chaps, I'll leave this thread now as monsieur madcap has tried the reverse psycology against the mods with his 'bully' card - that's when you know you're desperate.

Folk may do as they please to their cars, but I and several others reserve the right to comment as such

Are you referring to me? Either way you need to check your spelling before you comment on someone elses English, It's Psychology!

And no, I was not referring to you. You're called Wild Pikey if I'm not mistaken? My post definitely contained 'monsieur madcap' i.e. mrmadcap.

Because VTA dumpvalves have the chav label which is then associated with McDonalds and 14 year old girls being impressed as such. And usually chavs are associated with 'txt spk'

He didn't ask WHAT dump valve to use, he asked about LOCATING one he'd seen in a film - I think it's important to remember that

i like the sound myself and as i said before after a long drive they become annoying but i wouldnt remove it. as for the chav in a scoob thing the reason why so meny of them now own imprezas is
1. they are cheap to buy
2. they sound so nice
3. no one in there rite mind wants a evo
im ready for the backlash on the last one lol

Was a friendly dig at the random capitals in a couple your posts. Doesn't matter as we're obviously not on a car forum to be able to spell and read others posts are we

Fair enough, For those who have just tuned in though I said I could spell, Not punctuate Just for the record though and not at all aimed at you, Just in general! I look at these threads quite often in the hope of someone providing some proof of what is preached about dump valves, I have never seen any proof of one causing an engine to fail and I have yet to see one with a chav label on the box

For Christ's sake!

I'll say this one last time, we'll see if it gets through to you - not holding my hopes up, but, hey ho.

"Text Speak, txt spk" is lazy, retarded and a *******isation of the English language.

Having a problem with literacy isn't laziness, using "txt spk" is. It's a forum for fucks sake, letters are free, unlike a text message. "Text Speak" has no place on a forum, in the English language, or anywhere else.

The chap on Page 4 claiming to be Dislexic might well be - I don't know him - that's not an excuse to use "txt spk" though. If he spell's badly because of his Dislexia then he spells badly, it's not an excuse to post illegible crap though.

How about this, educational standards are in the gutter, and the sooner they are risen then the sooner "txt spk" will be erradicated, school leavers might actually be able to string a sentence together and maybe, just maybe the country might not end up going to hell in a handcart!

I'll not bother with your last remark, your arms are obviously too short to reach the bottom of your pockets to consider contributing.

*Sorry mods, I had to post the naughty word properly, lest I would be accused of using text speak and not an abbreviation.*
