My dad has owned every god dam Merc shape since the early 1980's & without a doubt the W123 & W124 were the best. The W124 probably was better & the one he sold to his mate in 1994 is still going strong today at over 300k miles!!! They were properly engineered, in fact over engineered. Love em

My grandmother has owned loads too over the years and I have to agree.

Her latest (and she doesn't/can't even drive now) is a c class she bought new a couple of years ago and it's naff in comparrison to the old late 80's to early 90's e class mercs she had.
