How will this run with on my classic Type R.......?????
I am running Mahle pistons, Arp headbolts, Gapless Piston Rings, uprated headers, 3" exhaust, HKS induction kit, FMIC and Apexi ECU. I am running the stock vf 28 and injectors at 1.5 bar and it's awesome, really don't want to lose that quick spool power I have now. It's running 330bhp at the moment and it's power that has no lag at all.

I recommend you get in touch with an Apexi ECU mapper and discuss with them how soon they would expect to get the boost in on your particular car. Spec wise its very similar to mine so wouldnt expect it to be majorly laggy but it all depends what you are coming from. I noticed going from VF35 to this turbo that it spooled up 500rpm later but i didnt really notice the lag as once spooled up the power is truly brutal and stays all the way to the redline. The mapper had to tone mine down as it just wanted to go and my engines on standard internals. Would expect an easy 400bhp from your spec if its as simple as a straight swap.

1.45 bar boost to get the 420bhp on my car. You can restrict the air flow from induction kits and increase the boost more so im confident the turbo has more than 420 to give, just my internals wouldnt have coped running it too much higher
