The fact of the matter remains, no impreza left the factory with an ally boot....
Stick around, some of this info may rub off on you....and....you too can be known as a know it all...

No evidence provided that it is though?
, did I say Subaru made them , no
Did I say mainstream models no
Did the know it alls on this forum say aluminium boot lids don't exist and they are as common as unicorn horns and the loch ness monster a big yes
So they are wrong and some one somewhere is probably driving round with one fitted to there car
And it's a new guy that's proved you all wrong
So now your looking to get the egg of your faces
Fact one way or another aluminium boot lids do exist

Semantics my **** ...... There is no word or phrase juggling in any of it
It's fact and you are gonna have to face it
You guys are twisting and turning to try and wash over the fact you are wrong
By telling folks that something does not exist and it obviously does
Rather 1 post that tells facts than 1000 telling folks how much you think you know
Oh and I really don't want any know it all ****e to rub of on to me from this site , because I don't need it and don't want it
There is jack s*** spiecial about scoobys at all ,pretty basic stuff
I bought mine as a 3rd car for a pi** about project and it's the simplest car I own to work on by a long way
And if your gonna ask why I'm here it's because it's this or x hamster and id heard there were bigger c**ts on here
Semantic that one

I bet everyone who think that thier boot is alloy has not even taken it of, it feels REALLY light when mounted to the car, becouse the springs that pull up the boot hinges are really strong.

I was surprised when i took my boot of, it is really heavy infact.

I'm quite happy to admit that there may be some random alloy boot lids kicking about that are not OEM parts made by Subaru.

My argument was always that Subaru never made any alloy panels other than bonnets for models that were sold to the public.

The problem is that there are loads of sellers out there that are advertising their cars as having various alloy body parts and its just bollocks.

enough of the banter for now

here,s a suggestion ive been looking around for one of these boots and cars for sale that says it has one fitted
there are a few cars ive seen that says ally boot i,m sure there is enough folks on here to pretty much cover the uk
how about we look out for cars for sale that supposedly have one and the nearest (obviously within reason) go check it out ,
that would deffo put an end to it all ,because this is not the first time the ally boot arguement has cropped up and i bet its not the last

You have proved fookall fella, you called a company and was told that Prodrive fitted ally boots to their rally cars....yet myself and a few others stated that no ally boot was fiited to an Impreza from the factory...you mentined oddball parts, not custom parts, which if prodrive did have these ally boots thats what they would be....custom.

Now feckoff, grease up your Russian Hamster and give it some Saturday night Toneh loving!

"Semantics my ****"...... AFAIK it means the meaning of language and does not require the tirade of your post 68.

Lets take another case....... here's a shot of my car with a carbon bonnet. We all agree that Bug WRX's did not come with carbon bonnets from the factory. The situation is identical to the "RA Aluminium boot lid"... if you have one then it wasn't an OEM item.

Which I hope we all agree on

so your saying a road going joe bloggs impreza fitted with a prodrive works boot would not be oddball

sorry mr yoda that must be the norm around your neck of the woods (probably along with gettin married to your sister)
but not mine

what i,ve proved is ally boots do exist , you said they dont

and i would even go as far to say i reckon that some cars would have left the factory with them, you cant tell me a company of that scale has not produced a few rare cars here and there

https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-question.html

Maybe Mike Wood could chip in as the UK face of Prodrive for the MY Impreza in question

Just a quick of topic
I must say since driving a scooby on the road
It's so refreshing to see friendly fellow drivers
From the day I picked it up , I got a thumbs up or flash from other scoobys
(reminds me of my bike days)
It's how driving should be , fun
I may and will come across as a **** on here
It's just banter and a bit of fun
But in the real world I would be the first to stop roadside to lend a hand if need be
And if someone asks an important question or got a problem I will try my best to answer , if I know

But like I said an ally boot or not ,is not really life or death or keeping a guy of the road
Keep up the good work chaps

Right ,back to the slagging
