escort cossie VS scooby which is better car
#361
It was 93 bhp for less than 1k Shaun MY95 WRX only had 256 from factory. It still runs std ECU, Turbo and Injectors.
Now if I remember back to the old'n days, a cossie would need an exhaust, injectors, map sensor, turbo & chip to run 350 bhp mmm probably more than 1K there then
I'm just trying to make the point that Scoobs are as easy to tune cheaply as Cossies and if you're going to spend megabucks both will result in circa 500 bhp.

hi Martin, awesome escort cossie you have!!
Gossie is refering to the lap he was filming on the last day where i caught and past the Skoda RS, Gossies Wagon Turbo and the 3 door cossie, they were holding me up big time! I didnt pass you in the escort cossie on that lap though, i needed more power for that. I did catch you at aremburg though but by the time i got past the 3 door you were gone!
In a standard turbo Impreza i would have stuffed your escort cossie, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the cars, it's down to driver knowledge of the track, thats very important round the nurburgring. I was really chuffed with the way everyone drove, it's always a worry when you have a big groups of "rivals" turn up at a track like the ring, everyone used their heads though which was great to see.
I had a great time, glad it was wet as in the dry my power disadvantage was massive and i would have been stuffed severly.
Anyone got a nice 350BHP escort cossie for sale? I want one!

Those 10 second 1/4 mile scoobys are awesome....they are also thousands of miles away so you're hardly likely to come across those on your trip to Santa Pod/Sainsburys ! I've read about SUB TEN second 1/4 mile Ford Cosworths in Germany and the USA, but again they aren't in this country .
At the end of the day, Imprezas outnumber Cosworths by atleast 10 to 1 and are far newer, so for the Cosworths to still be holding their own at various performance meetings is a great acheivement .
I've owned both marques and although they have their own strengths (ie Cosworth - THAT engine, Impreza - err - everything else lol), they are both kick *** cars that deserve the utmost respect.
Peace lol!

Cosie Convert - I could bring up examples of cossies from abroad with large bhp figures - but whats the point - this thread is about road going cars in this country as CC has already pointed out. Thats why I haven't mentioned Gareth Lloyd's Esc Cos race car!

Feel free Stu, it just reiterates what I said on here, respect to both cars for different reasons (within my limited knowledge and experience) Still cant beat the look of an Esc Cos tho - my personal taste and not aimed at getting anyones back up. And I'm not saying nother word on the subject so stop baiting me. I'll speak to you later

That's the thing with you Lynne - cos you're a woman you don't have the brainpower to think of more things than one at once, so you have to keep on coming back and editing just to try and make a point.
But you always seem to miss

I would refuse to enter into a battle of wits with an unarmed man if I were you craig.
But then there is no point saying that with reference to a woman as none of them is armed with wits.

so you have never heard the expression, "keep your wits about you?"
in the case of battle of wits the plural may indeed refer to the singular wits of multiple sides of a battle, yet in the above instance, the plural of wit is acceptable as your is undefined as plural or singular.
if we are going to be pedantic here, I am surprised no one tried to be me up on the grammar of none of them is rather than none of them are. It was correct of course.
I must admit though, given the strength of this argument, the second use of the word wit in retrospect should have been wihtout an S.
Can a person suffering from multiple personally disorder have two wits associated with different personalities?
Anders?
