As others have stated, good solid customer service. Everyone gets it wrong sometimes. How you are judged is by your solution and in this case it would seem Cobra have done the right thing

Mate, I cant believe this. I just had the same problem on my cobra exhaust. Got the 3” sports cat downpipe with 2.5” end and a 2.5” resonated mid section. When I bolted both on the car the downpipe visually pointed upwards from the mid pipe. We had to cut a 2mm slit in the bottom of the downpipe a couple of inches from the end and re-weld it to correct the angle. Cost me an additional 2.5 hours labour charge but got it on. Also had to trim my propshaft support and rear gearbox support as the exhaust rested against both. Cobra are looking at this now and have offered me a £25 voucher. Woop.
Its not me going mad then. Richard from FB Tuning who fitted it was apauled at the fit and what we both had to do to line everything up.
Will let you know what happens.

Will have to see how I get on. At least my car is on the road, all be it at a lot extra cost to me.
We also had a problem getting the brand new donut gasket on the downpipe to seal to the mid pipe. Just couldn't get it to seal without sealing paste. Was making perfect contact with mid pipe flange after we cut, welded and re-aligned but just wouldn't seal. Had to take it apart and seal it all up 48 hours later.
Just my luck really. Good job Richard at FB Tuning knows what he is doing. Lol.
