In the case of the classic you had to swap the sensor wires over for the cam / crankshaft sensors as the Simtek pinouts were different from the OEM ECU. I'm not sure what the procedure was for the newage, I thought you didn't have to do that becuse it could be changed in the software.
I'm just thinking of why it shouldn't fire with your OEM ECU in place ........
