IMHO I think speed is not the problem it's. The where why and how that I have issues with.
I drive a zx10r daily and have always had reasonably fast cars so I think I have some experience but at the end of the day it's only experience that teaches us.
I think you are doing the right thing by having an instructor to help you out .
You should never drive angry it will always be detrimental to your performance. Stay cool calm and collected and live is what I have learnt in my 38 yrs on this planet
We all love a play with other likeminded peeps. Just keep it real
To many haters I think

Just sticking on some rock hard coilovers doesn't make it handle better. In fact on our ropey roads I imagine its skits about all over the place which is what you probably mean by the bumps.
Theres so many other mods to do suspension wise before you hit coilovers. And even then you're not really using them unless you're tracking it.
Do it in stages so you build up the feel. You say you're on 282, I'm on 300 and haven't got coilovers. Good geo set up is sometimes enough to give you more confidence.
Toyo's don't grip until 80? What?! What bends do you regularly hit at 80 on a public road?
I really hope this is a wind up and not a metalist. I had someone in a RS focus drive behind me like something from the film THE DUEL the other day and over take me on a blind bend in residential area.....because I didn't notice the lights went green further back and they had to hoot me......worrying people go that mental for that sort of thing.
Maybe this bloke through a Bag out because you were driving inside his boot for miles?

No mate, I was only infront for a little while, let him overtake and just thought nothing of it, it was when he started slowing down then speeding up, then slowing down again that I got angry, I admit I was quite annoyed at that, but after him throwing crap out of the window, I backed off off a lot, this was just before he pulled out at blind bends, saw him do that 4 times.
Its not that the tyres dont grip till 80, I think they are wrong for this car, and the coilovers feel as thought they work best at 80mph, might sound strange, its just what I have noticed in my car.

I assume this was not on a motorway.
Take the next turning and change your route so the idiot in front can go his own way.
There are times and places for driving fast.

Mate you did say you were having a play / race with german marques every couple of days.
So as i said sounds like it's becoming a bit of a habit.
And i also told you to put your flame suit on.
The best thing you have said so far is that you are getting some tuition, and like i said sounds like you need it..
And i'm not being rude or trying to put you down.
Not too sure what you expected the outcome of such a post would be![Ponder2](images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
Did you think everyone would offer pearls of wisdom on driving styles and how to brake, heel and toe change down, balance the throttle, approach with the correct line to apex the corner and gas out of it, i think![Nono](images/smilies/nono.gif)
You obviously have a lot to learn, and not just about driving.
Swearing / abusing others on the board that are outraged by your behaviour is not the way forward..
As said before this is not a dig, it's one of those pearls of wisdom you were after..

What a load stupid bitchy comments.
If it was any of you lot and this guy was in front of you messing about like this I doubt very much you lot would respond any differently.
Too many keyboard warriors, acting like bitches.
Next time it happens it would be better if I pull the guy out of his car and give him the kicking he deserves.
As for car control etc, I'm going to carry on with instruction at the track regardless.
Silly stupid cows.

Maybe im getting old now, but dont see the point of taking the bait of some of the numpties on the road, i drive a 340+bhp ra, and had many silly quick cars but if anyone tries to race i just let them get on with it, i usually back right off to a snails pace, they get bored quickly, prefer to get on track days, just not worth loosing a licence for.
Im no angel tho, just each to there own.
Think its due to the fact that many years ago on that same private race track lol someone spun there car in front of me and i ended up in a ditch trying to avoid them.
