Need to correct myself now driving home coming up to red set of light chnaged down from 3rd to 2nd getting ready to stop light went green so tryed the big right foot same thing....will not go into 3rd ....so it seems it always do it under HARD acceleration regardless of standing or rollling start. Still points to the same thing?

Must be great fun though. Let's see some specs!
to clear things up abit,,,if the full 60k was still on the car then it would have alot bigger spec than it does,,,,i had most things go wrong that could go wrong and i just kept spending and replacing as iv always wanted to build my own race spec car and the mrs said go for it as she new what it ment to get it finished (its never going to be finished but ssshhh lol),,,,,

as for my finnancial situation,,,,,,my grandad died shortly after buying the scoob and left me a nice lump of cash with his word "have fun with it",,,,i still miss that old bugger as we had some laughs thanks grandad

Sounds fine by me. I got a decent redundancy package 6 yrs ago and had it spent in 9 months! (RTWorld Tour & 1st Scoob). I'm sure your grandad would have had no objections!

Good for you chap, enjoy it like your grand father wanted.

I was in a similar situation myself. My father passed away suddenly last year and left me a bit of money. It really hit home how short life is and that it can be taken away in the blink of an eye. I vowed to enjoy life a bit more and enjoy the money that I now have. Hence the Subaru. I could of bought any Subaru I desired but wanted something that would put a huge grin on my face. Nothing does that better than a well specced 400bhp classic, hence the STI V3 I now own and love.
