Apparently he had a 'moment' at the bottom of Bray hill at 150mph and so he took it slightly easier for the rest of the track. For those that don't know, Bray hill is about a mile from the start, so that's 36 miles of the rest of the lap at a slower pace.
Can't blame him though, there's no run off areas on the TT circuit...

I think the passenger just freezes - he doesn't even flicker but then again he was probably concentrating on filling his pants...
For Mark to say " ****! That was probably the biggest moment for my life..." tells you something

What was the 'crack' noise? Sounded like he clipped the wall?
I can well believe that could have been the biggest moment (crash) of his career being as he'd normally be maxing out at circa 120mph on rallies? He must have been nudging 150mph?
I think that one 'moment' there is going to give them twice the exposure they would have had!
Lucky it wasn't an Evo, he'd never have corrected the AYC assisted tank slapper

Well over 150 apparently - he was into 6th before he set off down Bray hill and has been peaking at over 162mph around the course!

Truly awesome, the first bit of positive press for the new Subaru's??
Epic driving skills from Mark Higgins...well done that man.
So how "Standard" is this car??
How far away is it from the UK WRX STi 320R which is a lightly remaped version of the standard WRX STi? How much has the suspension been altered? What about the brakes? I’ve read mixed reports, some saying that the brakes where standard others saying they were uprated. Any weight saving take place??
Just curious to see how far away from a standard road car this record braking motor really is....
None the less epic result, well done to all involved
