I haven't wasted my £110k ....... so, would not want to drop to £55k ........ where did I say that £55k a year was 'spare' money?

If it is saved it isn't spent and it isn't wasted as it has a use down the line - like buying another property, for example!

That's what they said - I won't get redundancy .... if I want to leave I have to draw my £55k a year Pension. The Lump Sum on the Pension is much greater than £30k,(and it's tax free!).

But, the longer I work the bigger the Pension pot and the more I earn .... I may have 30 years left!!!

You're 73. Couldn't they force you to retire?

If you don't retire soon, you may not live to see the fruits of your hard earned pension!! or at least too frail to spend it, time to enjoy what you have left before time is called at the bar!!

PSL = mentallist.

55k a year pension would equate even on final salary to something around 25yrs working at 100k a year average earnings would it not?. Anyone believing PSL is worth that kind of money now?......anyone buying PSL earned that in 1980?......crok of **** is what we have here!

At a guess PSL lives in a shelter with 14 other mentallists. They talk of fast cars and high income.....

NEVER in my life have i met a man with "no worries" in life so keen to talk about lifes worries, nor have i met a "high end" earner who would need to brag about it.

^^^^ Wrong ^^^^

It works like this, as you clearly do not understand the basic principles of a FINAL Salary Pension Scheme!!

The clue is in the word FINAL!!!

If my FINAL Salary is £110k then my Pension is half of that FINAL Salary after 40 years!

ie £55k a year ....... good grief, it beggars belief the standard of knowledge on here.

Of just for the record my mrs got 15k for 7 yrs, so good redundancy deals still exists for the larger employers. She has now not worked for a year.....why....because PSL sends me his spare change thats why,..

I did pose that as a question PSl...but anyhow....

i would bet £1000 cash and my left ******** that you dont earn a penny over about 15k a year, i think thats the average money for an over the hill trolley collector in Sainsburys.

You DO NOT EARN 110k, a few weeks ago you post your age to be around 50yrs....you are a MENTALIST, go and speak to Reginald down the hall of the home you live in. Home for the old and MENTAL.

I work for a 250k people employer, i'm in the top 1000 of their infrastructure. NONE of the 110k+ men i know (and there are a lot) mention to a soul what they actually earn, or what they may get from their pensions. Get a grip.

Don't you REALLY feel bad now that you know such a person is a LOT smarter than you are?

Further evidence you don't have a clue about the real world.
