6% Payrise this year ...

we are struggling to get a 2% pay rise this year and even if we get it, it will still be a pay cut. The past 2 years we had a pay freeze and the company are still in the brown stuff so not looking good. If anything its not about how much you earn or how much your pay rise is, its more about having a job in the first place, times are tough and it is going to get tougher. A note to those who brag about what they earn, what goes around comes around, most well paying jobs fall flat at some point through complacency whereas concientious jobs who cut back normally survive (just).

You have not seen me complain about my pension, but the starting amount was not actually startling.
Not in your league for sure!

A bit cheesed off with that, to be honest!!
Inflation is running at 5% and my Pension is costing me another 1% this year - so, the net increase is a BIG FAT ZERO!!!![Mad](images/smilies/mad.gif)
Teachers are getting 7.5% this September ... Bankers are still getting fat bonuses ... us 'normal, everyday, workers' are getting shafted!!
Anyway, what can you do?![Frown](images/smilies/frown.gif)

Depends where you live and how you spend your £100k a year. Round here in Lincolnshire you'd have a nice house, get to see and visit nice places and have enough left to spend on your busty 18 year old mistress without your wife and girlfriend finding out

BTW, only 1 in 20 tax-payers in this country makes more than £61.5k, and well under 1 million of them earn more than £100K, so for anyone to comment that it isn't "that much" shows a pretty astonishing lack of perspective.
