The man prob has more sway on popular opinion than any politician could even dream of!!!

Falling apart? No such luck! I fear this is just a bump in the road.
Some bump! At best it will and already has cost him millions.

Who knows where or when it will end.

Well I'm fed up with hearing about Murdoch which is headline news every time I listen to the TV or to BBC radio. Day after bloody day.

Basically we all knew that some tabloid journalists were s,hits. All this simply tells us is that they were bigger s,hits than we had imagined.

Oh and that are a few bent coppers around. Wow really!

The whole affair is nevertheless indicative of a style of corrupt behaviour which has been injurious and should never be allowed to continue.

This is one hell of a non-story... I'm fed up hearing about it! Who cares? There are more important things to worry about in the world, but it fills some air time I suppose. Typical overblown witchhunt.

Well... Brooks has quit... seems a bit odd to me that murdoch flies over to give her his "support", then flies back and she quits...

anyone else thinking the conversation went along the lines of:

"I'll bung you a couple of million if you quit my company and do your best to make me look innocent in all of this" ???

She had to go. Her position had become untenable.
Now for Murdock to be kicked into touch.

I wonder if old Max Mosely has anything to do with this?

He/his publications have no doubt upset alot of high-powered people over the years, but I seriously reckon this'll blow over as quickly as it all came to head.

There's too many illiterate benefit lovers in this country willing to get their fix of low flesch score celebrity nonsense to put him out of business.

Tom Mockridge has been unveiled as Ms Brooks' replacement. He was in charge of News Corporation's Italian broadcasting arm.

Because there's no corruption in Italy...

Hypocrisy of this whole saga is outrageous. The people are p1ssed at the alleged un-ethical tactics of NOTW etc. Now correct me if i'm wrong but these tactics were fuelled by the public’s desire to know every detail, to feel a part of whatever the week's news head line was.......while they are all happy to read about it/talk about it etc. and the newspapers are flying off the shelves, now NOTW, Murdochs and NewsCorp are all evil sinners.....what a joke!

Murdoch will sell off his newspapers, it's a dying business, no margin in it. He will end up owning BSkyB because thats an asset that has considerable forward value!

In the meantime, everyone will make a song and dance, there will be a lot of hoop jumping and perhaps they pay a fine........

Corruption and bribery is the ugly face of business, it's not desirable, but it happens. Look at BAE Systems, or in fact any defence company.....hardly surprising that the Media are up to it as well....if this is news to you then you really must be fresh out the womb!

I don't find it surprising at all, just as I am not surprised by that documentry recently shown about residents being abused in care homes. Are we supposed to ignore it because we all knew it was going on anyway?
We all knew it was going on but until you have proof, how was anyone supposed do or saying anything about it. Any potential whistle blower would have been bundled into the back of a van and given a very 'persuasive' talking to about the implications of saying bad things about the press.

Now it is all in the public domain and it cannot be brushed under the carpet any longer.
I suspect many people have had threats from the News Corp. Rupert probably has dirt on everyone and why he has enjoyed so much power.

Big understatement of the situation.

Ask those whose phones were hacked and whose details were flogged to them by the coppers, and how much protection they got from crawling politicians in exchange for their support in the media and tell me if the situation is overblown and should be allowed to continue!
