Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and manager Kenny Dalglish have apologised after Suarez refused to shake Patrice Evra's hand before Saturday's match.
"I have spoken with the manager since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong," Suarez said in a club statement.
Dalglish reacted angrily to questions about the incident after the game.

Tensions run high as Evra celebrates victory
"All of us have a responsibility to represent this club in a fit and proper manner," he said on Sunday.
"That applies equally to me as Liverpool manager.
"When I went on TV after yesterday's game I hadn't seen what had happened, but I did not conduct myself in a way befitting of a Liverpool manager during that interview and I'd like to apologise for that."
United released a statement which read: "Manchester United thanks Liverpool for the apologies issued following Saturday's game. Everyone at Old Trafford wants to move on from this.
So Suarez and Dalglish apologise and say they got it wrong. At least they have finally seen sense and been big enough to accept that and apologise.
Shame their fans aren't big enough to do the same.

1. See post 1 where I said he went towards him..........and celebrated in front as he went past him, not all around him.
2. No he didn't, he celebrated in front of our fans ALL around the ground and didn't jump around as he went past where the BNP were seated.
3. Yes he has, your point?
4. No but the club condemned him and banned him internally before the FA issued their punishment, even though HE was the one receiving the disgusting abuse. You see, just like you have reacted badly it's human nature and everyone has a beaking point, and that fan deserved a drop kick both Evra and Cantona did react, and whilst it's not acceptable it's understandable

Pontificating
So what dirty sod gobbed on De Gea then ?
Seems those "apologies" were forced by the owners, about time they got involved and sorted their staff out, had it not been for the NY Times I doubt it would have happened.

Fair enough, my mistake as that's not how I read it but I see what you're saying now.

Biggest load of cobblers ever - all this over a damn handshake. Media fuelled nonsense.
That aside - that gif vid - Evra's hand was open - see the position of his thumb. Suarez went in and Evra didnt take his hand away yet Suarez decided to briskly pull it away. Suprised he didnt make a gesture on the end of his nose like kids do.
End of the day no one but those two know if they were going to shake hands. And only Suarez knows what he intended when he said what he said to Evra.
