Still great result on yours

Yep. Major difference is torque really. Will always get more with the 2.5. Great turbo though, brilliant spool up on mine!

I am going down the straight through 3" route mate, i wanted to try and keep my current system as it sounds great but the need for more power is greater

Exhaust may sound different once you change the turbo. Mine did!

Symptoms of cracked housing not really noticeable until you take the turbo off. Mine has very bad crack in wastgate housing where the penny seals, so may have limited the boost it will hold. That’s it really.

3" bellmouth decat tapered to 2.5" to match the rest of system will be your best bet with the vf48. 3" straight through may give you a few more bhp at top end, but at the expense of spool-up and midrange (which is more important) .

As long as your Genome back box is 2.5" all the way thru it will be fine, don't bother changing it.

You can make PDF smaller unless you have Adobe Reader Professional or Open Office with PDFImport extension.

How is big?

What price are they going for these days? This thread is not helping the re-sale value
I suggest you both get in touch with Duncan Dynamix the VF48 specialist! Mine made more power on V power on a notoriously lower reading dyno than both of you.

Scratch that, i just checked your garage i think the only difference between both cars is my meth mix and you have Gt spec headers, straight thru 3" system and using 650 injectors..

It wont make a noise or sound any different to normal anyhow. My VF48 has a crack in the exhaust housing around the wastegate penny. The crack will very unlikely ever crack right through so doesn't make too much of a difference. May effect the max boost the turbo can hold, but thats about the only drawback. Still drives great!
