have you given one a test drive yet?
also if you are doing any sort of tight slow turning you may hear some clunking noises
its the centre dif, use the accd button by the handbrake and stick it into open (green) job done, ie nout to worry about
cant think of anything else atm but then i didnt do a great job buying my own car shiny car must have!!! etc

I do think you'll enjoy it more than the ST. As I say, even with your trade in there are a lot of cars around and you're obviously willing to travel which helps. I'd imagine a dealer would be happy to take the ST in a part-ex and despite the petrol cost it seems an easier motor to shift than the Impreza IHMO

You live in Scotland. I live in Scotland. We both know we need 4wd to cope with the bloody horizontal rain!
2.5 is nice 'n' torquey low down - other stuff has been covered in the thread as far as I can see.
JDMs (imports) are good. 2.0 but with twin scroll turbo means that it also pulls well from low down at revs in manic fashion to 8000 revs! V reliable engines. A bit dearer though and only a couple of specialists sell them (or private sale). Worth it if you have the cash.
Anyway, eithet way, go for a Scoob - you'll love it, even in the dry!

As above, I think you will have no regrets, even though the ST is great all round car.
Revitupuk will be ideal, as they will likely retail your ST so should be an easier deal to do.
Good luck!

Well before you make your desicion, go and have a look at this one, may mean you have to sell yours privately but it will be worth it

Ouch, that's a lot of money. I don't need or want to know about your financial situation, and I'm sure you're an adult capable of managing things However it seems a lot of cash. Just hope you're not letting your heart rule your head mate and getting a bum deal on your current car.
As others have said, it would put you in a much better position if you sold privately. It is a pain, it took me almost 3 months to sell my last car There are however loads of cars out there, and people are keen to sell
Good luck.

I agree, but as you've stated he doesn't appear to be getting much of a deal on his current motor? Add in the fact you've run with a 13% APR when a personal loan would be a better bet, assuming that is the rate etc.

You would struggle to better 13% APR on an 8.5k loan unless you don't really need to borrow the money....
Most car deals out there are subsidised to below 13%, so in reality its just a fudge of the figures. 13% on a 5year old car is about the going rate for HP.

Yeah the current motor can't be right, there must be a balance to settle.

That said, it's not my car, money, nor do I know the OP's circumstances so as for anymore financial advice, as Duncan Bannatyne says, "I'm Out"
@ Sean, good luck mate, and any more questions about the car itself just post 'em up

Yeah as said there is balance to settle on mine. And with me being the 3rd owner does drop the price. even though the car has been cared for.
Maybe you guys are right. maybe its not the time to change.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's not the time to change, rather it's about driving (pardon the pun) the best deal.
