I think the Euro is doomed and these guys felt the same. However, what they envisaged was a strategic retreat back to local currencies rather than implosion.

And in the US, they will push it to the wire for political reasons. Each little tyrant trying to get his greedy little share over the other. They will agree something, it's just how much of a has do they make it in order to keep everyone (them not us) happy.
I think Brussels has the will to keep the Euro alive by any means possible, they won't back down over it. If anything they will exploit this crisis to get more political/fiscal union.

As ever, the **** starts a thread, stirring the pot with lies. As has been said, no one from the government has said that we are facing another recession, what they said was that depending on how things go in euroland then even tougher times may be ahead.

Didn't use to work for news international did you, cos they never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
You are wasting your time taking him on-he will leave you for dead as you may well find out.

Do you not realise that we are ticking along on the verge of a depression anyway?

By inference then, you are intimating that this country is on a financial high and that we have not got a significant national debt at all, and that our GDP is more than enough to cover our debts and the interest which is due every year. This story about a deficit is all lies then?
