i was told a funny story last week while getting new turbo fitted, there was a guy using meth and he set his eyebrows alight but didnt know until his face was getting somewhat hot ( only funny if your not that guy ) .
Meth does have advantages/disadvantges just clue up and you be fine. Invisble flame isnt good though

The use of Methonal, was on T.V. last week I think on BBC1.
The produce is fake booze and they add Methonal to bulk up the fake Vodka.

Tastless and odourless. and cheap. Imagine that drinking fake Vodka and swallowing Meth to boot.
Not a good thought.

I use 20 % Meth, +Vpower, with a 10 litre Jerry can in the boot, works fine with me , and get the Meth from Jennychem.

I have collected though in my van which I have told the insurance company that I do carry Imact adhesive / small blow torches ,Paint/ thinners.

I may have a rethink though about collecting?

I purchase mine from Jennychem. I normally buy x2 25ltr cans from them. Not sure how much I pay.

I mostly fill the car up on just V Power, Tesco Momentum or even 95ron.

Here's my results -

453.0 bhp & 386 lbft on Vpower and 5ltrs of meth *

430 bhp & 378 lbft on V power Only *

354 bhp & 315 lbft on Tesco 95ron *

* at Surrey Rolling Road

My meth map is due to be tweaked by Simon so hoping for a bit more.

Steve, when you say "453.0 bhp & 386 lbft on Vpower and 5ltrs of meth" is this full tank scenario, so you let the tank run right down past the "empty" and fill up with the said amount?

I currently run 20% meth mix, and my concern was running the fuel very low in order to fill up with 10L of Meth and rest V power, becuase unless I run dry everytime the mix will ever so slightly out

A newage tank is 60L?!?!?, so if I let the fuel run down the red light assuming there is atill 10L in the tank?!?! So by adding 10L Meth and 40L V power I should be ok, but If I happen to catch the fill up at either side of the red light, then I could be filling up lean or rich

So in the above scenario I could be running between 17% - 23% Meth mix, is this ok?

I currently only fill up with one 5L Jerry can and 20L of fuel at almost any given time as long as the fuel gauge is under half way. At £1.40 per litre it costs me around £28.00 V-power, plus Methanol. This is the only safe way at the moment I have of making sure I get exactly 20% methanol mix, or am I being a bit ****, does it matter to be a few degrees lean, and even rich? I dont want to burn out the internals, or melt them.... Sorry for the essay!

Hi Rob,

Pretty much matey. I normally run the car on neate fuel as its a everyday car.

If I use the Meth map. I let the light come on. Put in 15 ltrs of V-power/Tesco 99/Momentum , run that down again for the light to come on. Fill it with a further 15ltrs and repeat the process meaning this flushes the meth out .

In terms of when to add the next batch of meth. I simply see how far my bollocks will grow for the percent margain.

I let it get as low as it can go including switching anti lag on and take it to the fuel station. I add the meth first then fill the tank.

At a guess your cannot be right all the time. But the mapper in my case gave me a slight % for errors.

Sorry.......not really helping am I? lol

It is a bit trial and error regarding how much you have left in the cars fuel tank.

I am getting the hang of how much I can get in via the fuel neddle.

Always better to under fill the total mixture than over fill with Meth, and be unable to get the right amount of Vpower in.

At the weekend I chucked in 5 litres of methanol, and then topped up with V-Power, when my fuel gauge said 1/2 full. I was quite surprised when the pump cut out at 25.2 litres - the gauge is not as inaccurate as I thought

So reading this it appears quite a few of yous are using several maps, one for fuel along and one for a meth mix.

Im on 20% meth period, i didnt fancy the hassle of switching about with fels, plus with Meth being cheaper than Vpower it seemed the obvious thing to do, although im aware it can cause premature engine damage.

Stus , what mix of meth are using,

is that 10% or 20% , for 20% mix you would put in 5 liters of meth and 20 litre of vpower.

Or if you are doing 10% that would be 3.5 liter meth + 21.5litr vpower

I always run meth like Rob as I do not wish to run dry and refill with staright fuel, The milage I wil be doing should not be much of a issue regarding wear and tear.

Paul.

I have 2 maps at the moment , V-power / V-power+20% Meth.

I will get another like yourself but for crappy fuel , just in case there is nothing else available.

I too will only use the V-power map if I have run out of the meth in my can.

Thats a lovley mix, I need a calculator for 20% your to clever for me.
