It's the unexpected costs that increase the price.

Check out the prices of new rollers and pulleys for the cambelt.... madness!!!

I managed to spend £2k 'freshening' a second hand engine a few years ago.

Sorry mate, wasnt ignoring you. I just wonder why these issues are not aired at the time and left until times like this. No fly involved.

Oh, and I have never used API, but have had advice from them that was never going to lead to me spending with them but they were still happy to give it.

No offence meant to you or anyone else, just wondering.

when i had my rb5 i used to take it to api for service work.

why?

reputation
half the price of the main dealer
david is a straight talking, no bull**** guy.
the guys who work on the cars, not sure if it the same staff, but Nathan (and the other guys i forget the name of) was brilliant, took me all round the car giving it a good once over without even asking.
showed me exactly what he was doing when he was doing the service work
gave me a guided tour of the whole facility from the engine build area to the spare parts etc.

highly recommended and always had great service all the times i went there

David is the most straight forward and honest to deal with. Ive been using Api for years for developing my car to the spec it is now.

See you soon David

I used API for the first time last year. I spoke to David on the phone and he diagnosed my cars problem in 30sec's and booked it in. Since then I've been back for more stuff. Oh, he's 200 miles away from me as well.....
When my original engine blows I'll be back to API for one of theirs.
