That 26mpg is in stark contrast to my old 500+bhp Spec C 2.5ltr gas guzzler..... same driving, that used to do about 18-20mpg. The more I drive the Hawkeye 2ltr, the more I save.... it's ace.

Coast in gear when slowing (engine breaking). Tyres will need to be fully inflated, or as hard as you can get away with (has to be safe, the max ive done is 36psi front and 33psi rear).

Realistically you will only be able to burn at a maximum 56/57 litres before the car starts suffering especially if on a gradient - its not fun when it starts bunny hopping.

Avoid use of AC / opening windows. Will be intersting to see if you get past 400 miles.
400 miles = 30 mpg according to a uk mpg convertor.. i think the above calculations were US gallons so not 100% accurate.. my target is 350-400 miles on a tank... just for fun obviously!

It could help to put some injector cleaner in when you fill up to try to get the best out of the injectors. I know fuel is much cleaner these days but every bit helps. 13 years ago I used STP injector cleaner and got a 15 mpg improvement that was on a renault 19 16 valve.

i reckon you'll see 300 miles, you'll be loaded up i presume and it depends when you come across a fuel station!
When i've done long runs i've squeezed 200 miles out of the first half and thought great but the second half doesn't go as far!!
