good reading this thread carry on lol . so far its diversified into something about muslims, crystal ***** and mods who own them , chinese . stalin, whatever happened to all the gay jokes i was hoping to read , as for aids was invented by the goverment , i had a picture in my head then of some wincing gay bar loitering goverment minister saying what can we call this new disease , oh i know AIDS short for **** injected death syndrome

Seriously, I am all for freedom of speech (within reason, i.e. keeping things civil), it's all of you guys that moan about whether or not freedom of speech should be allowed (depending upon the subject).
I don't know what other mods would make of such an act though, they might view it as trolling if you deliberately start a thread to wind up another member.

I will be clear though and say if I had my way all religious threads would be banned. This is a car forum, if you want to debate religion IMO you should go somewhere else! Just my opinion of course.

OK then, what if I was gay. I come on here and see it's commonplace to make a reference to 'gheyers' in a derogatory fashion and now we have this thread to compound that. How would that make me feel?
Probably much like Banny felt after the umpteen threads about Muslims in the last twelve months.
It's like being back in the school playgroud FFS! If you are not a white herterosexual male that can drink 10 pints a night and treat women like sex objects then you are somehow less of a person. Time the place grew up I think.
The other thing I find annoying about that video is the guy depicted in it is more of a paedophile than anything which of course reinforces another stereotype that many hard of thinking seem to get confused about ... that somehow being gay makes you a threat to children.

They can think for themselves and if as you say they capitulated to whatever it is they are supposed to have changed (which isn't my understanding btw) they must have agreed with me!

I think an issue with this type of thing is that it is hard to tell if someone is trying to be humerous or convey an ignorant viewpoint when things are in text form and written in one or two lines.
I would like to think that the posters of some of the comments in this thread are simply being funny and not trying to cause anyone any offense. I personally see nothing wrong in poking a bit of fun at things and situations and feel that society and speech is over moderated, there is a line of course and sadly there will will always be those that step over it.
