Loved my jdm 1994 sti wagon, big kick from the turbo, standard brakes scary, lots of squeaks/rattles. 2001 jdm sti saloon more refined, progressive turbo, less squeaks/rattles,brilliant brakes.Think I would stick with a newage but I am getting on a bit now.

Sorry Tony, I bought the car from Northampton and the sellers told me the car was bought local from a local to them dealership who imported too. That's as much as I know about the car

me and my missus have both (my 337bhp classic, her 260bhp bug wrx).

As I said earlier, in terms of driving my classic is an unrefined, get in and hold on type experience where as hers is more subtle and less excillerating. You can drive the Bug 250 miles and get out fresh as a daisy but in the classic you need to wake your legs and back up after that long!

On looks, I say she wins. Hers is on 18's with coilovers and has that mean n moody "get out my f***ing way" look about it and when theyre parked together mine barely gets a head turn.

On the plus side, we picked both these cars up, well maintained and modified sensibly in the right places by the right people for £4300 in total, lots of cars for the ££

Its just there are only 4 of these in the country, 2 I know of (they came from Prosport in Stockport and were MH 04 plates, both new in the country, think there is an ML and a Y something one around too, so I think you had one of the original 2 that came in to the UK first

Ooops - sorry crossed cars

Yes, the JDM V-Ltd is indeed a very rare beast, and as you say 2 only in the country. Car was imported in (summer ? 2007) by PCM, bought by me in August 2009, sold July last year locally to me

Supreme engineering. Engine felt unbreakable, kept going and going, handled sublimely... blah and more blah... brilliant. Just went too fast too easilly. You needed to be going 130mph to have any fun

Here's a couple of threads on it

Personally I think it comes down to what the car is used for.
For instance, my car is used solely as a bit of fun. Comes out of the garage on a Sunday if it's dry and that's it. It's noisy, it rattles, clutch is stiff, steering is stiff, seats are hard and it uses fuel like it's going out of fashion. It's not that you wouldn't use it everyday it's more you couldn't. But I didn't want to use it everyday, I wanted a car to get my adrenaline pumping and put a massive smile on my face. For these reasons I didn't even consider a newage car. It would take a seriously powerful newage car to keep with me or thrill me like my old classic.
However, if you need a car to use regulary then newage is the way forward.
