you shouldnt be down shifting into first. First gear should only need to be engaged when stationary or dam close to it. certainly not at 20mph. All gearboxes will be notchy while forcing them into first at 20mph or above.
Please Please dont keep putting it into first at those sort of speeds your going to be heading for a box rebuild

The problem I have with mine is above, the car should go into gear at 0mph but it grinds if I depress the clutch and shift quickly whereas it's fine when I take my time. I don't think it should do that. Trying to find out what the issue is, any advice on that?
