I dont mean to be rude, But my word Who taught you to do that?
I appreciate your concern, I've just heard alot about downshifting on the forum. It's something that I personally don't do but thought i'd give it a try without releasing the clutch, just to check that my car allows me to.

The problem I have with mine is above, the car should go into gear at 0mph but it grinds if I depress the clutch and shift quickly whereas it's fine when I take my time. I don't think it should do that. Trying to find out what the issue is, any advice on that?

Thanks once again, I know where you're coming from.

Thought it might be since the oil change didn't help. Do STI 6 speed gearboxes have the same common problem with synchromesh?
