We got our 05 wrx for 6450 from a garage with a warranty low miles 1 owner fsh only difference is we dont have the sti spoiler or carbon bonnet yet to get 400 bhp

seriously though, its got sti badges so no reason to think its not.(apart from the only sti parts it has are the spoiler and a badge) but has no six speed box,brembos,blue interior etc .
i sent pictures to the insurance company, yeh right maybe they wanted to know why you are insuring a wrx as an sti,maybe it was to make your premium more expensive,
tosser.............. only plus side is he will never sell it at that price anyway.

 

In my 21 years of motoring I've never been required by an insurance company to forward any pictures of a car??

Especially in this day & age, all they need is the reg no.

I have read the comments on the Internet most of which are very harsh and unfounded, with reference to the Jayne reply this was after everything else that had happened and me agreeing that it was a wrx because of the amount of people saying so. I've already explained that I have the receipt for the belt supply and fit, I also explained that I have a receipt for the supply of the clutch but this was fitted by a garage cash in hand as I was going to sell it and so he fitted it £100 cheaper as no vat was charged. The spoiler looks real but I won't be sticking my neck on the line again just in case. I had actually decided to keep the car due to all that's happened not to mention I just payed out £494 for the clutch which is money that I won't see again, the car is what it is, I like it others obviously don't. If I was to sell it I would take £5,200 as that helps me with moving house and just the money I save on petrol and insurance frees up some extra cash. I don't have any interest in what the guys on a chat forum have to say about a bloke they never met. If somebody genuinely wants to buy the car great if not it stays in my garage. Thanks steve

Another subaru favourite is exhausts,not as exciting as these baits but the amount i saw when i was looking advertised as HKS/hayward and scott etc that were clearly not was alot,i corrected alot of them,asking for the hks stamp etc,get a reply of your right,its a no brand one but still stays advertised as HKS etc
