Competition Clutch are crap from experience
Exedy Racing Pink are excellent on 5 speed & wer'nt so good on 6 speed, but that was the older non anti judder one.

I wouldn't bother with the lightened flywheel just get your original skimmed
Mark is just around the corner from me but I'm about to jet off on a bit of a world tour with work so calls will be made once I've confirmed the arrangements to get the car back from the bodyshop - BNPL/IFC would swing the deal

That seems to be a 6-speed but for what I need the ACT sits in the expensive for my spec bracket - a bit of overkill for mildly uprated WRX, and I can't find a UK supplier.

You can buy a decent ACT clutche for 5 speed boxe, which wont cost more then £400 posted to the UK. Maybe even slightly less.

The only kits I have found are on ebay for about that price, plus 10% import duty and 20% VAT, plus a flywheel plus fitting can very quickly become nearl £1k for a clutch

I'm pulling the cash together for the clutch after I've paid for the respray mate, thanks for the offer but as it stands I'll have the cash to pay you off when I pick the car up and all being well I should be able to fund the clutch the month after assuming nothing comes up. Need a drive shaft oil seal sorting at the same time

Kas, thanks for the offer, but for how I use the car, the miles it does etc I'm pretty much convinced now that the exedy package fits the. bill

No worries Jon. Exedy is a decent clutch aswell. Apparently the pink ones can take a tad more.

The pinks are effectively a stage 2 clutch so should be up to my plans

Appreciate the offer but I didn't want to put you out, if you were closer I'd have taken you up on the offer once I had the cash - you need to move your business

It would be a never ending supply of parts to paint if I was closer I bet
Think on it mate any way,I don't mind waiting for the money after the job is done especially as you have the full money for the respray now
PM me and we could discuss further if you decide you'll take the offer.

I'd have to dip into the respray money to buy the clutch though which is the drama, and it doesn't help when the company keeps screwing my pay up and aren't likely to sort it until end of October

Seeing as I had it in my head it wouldn't all be paid in one any way I shouldn't think it matters to much if a bit is missing for a while
Like I said have a think on it,the offer is there mate

Big thanks to Mark at Lateral - did me a great price that exactly what I had in mind so not even worth phoning around to hanker of a fiver here and there (and he's local so helps).

Another big thanks to Ryan for sorting the job out whilst he has the car
