what I'm struggling to get my head round (maybe I'm being blonde or just female?) is WHY would Ross switch engines anyway, which is what he's being acussed of?
Why would he go through all this grief & expense with a differnet engine?
Wouldn't that then mean the one in his 'new' car was fine............. or does he collect fooked engines, which I'm sure he doesn't......
....but I know someone who does
Oh & as for my SMART car - yes I've see Robroy in his SMART car - a sight to behold! This is a forfour - a four door which is okay - but not quite the same poke as a 3litre 5 series BMW......
I'm not trolling fella. You have a bad experience (fact), I have 2 good ones (also a fact).
TX.
Yes so how would you be feeling if you had one good but one bad ?
I am sure you would like to let everyone know you got shafted if you had a bad experience from somewhere and dont tell me you wouldn't.
Then you were lucky, he has a right to feel aggrieved and voice his experiences to the community.
Had you been treated the same way i would have thought you would also feel aggrieved.
I agree, he & everyone else need to stick to the facts though. In the last thread that got shut down someone suggested that "the dealer" was involved in another similar issue due only to sharing the same name ...

That was retracted by the person that posted it and has been left alone since. No one has mentioned that outside of the ESC.
The facts have been posted and what is annoying everyone is the traders lies. Please read the enigine reports posted on the previous page and then tell me that they are two different engines. This nonsence is what is enraging the people on here, he hasnt disputed concelling the cars history.
"IF" (big if) its a one off, he should take resposibility and foot the bill for the repair, he didnt and left it Ross to sort.
After all he only does this for the good of members and not for profit.

Why didn't Kin take up the offer of a new engine or a rebuild? What did he want from the dealer?
TX.
If it was me i wouldnt trust any engine he supplied and having seen his fix on the current one- if it was yours, would you honestly take the risk, put your self in his shoe's when answering that.
Kin Quick wanted it rebuilt by someone that knows what they are doing (not the person that the trader got to build the last one). From the trader he wanted money towards rebuilding his engine. When the quotes came in the trader refused point blank to help. Customer service at its best.
The trader asked for quotes to rebuild it and then said no way its too much, he never actually offered to rebuild it! By the time it was evedent the trader wouldn't help with the rebuild the engine offers had also been removed.
