I like your direct approach
On the subject of NSR being dead, maybe we should have a list, nay two lists.
One list being stuff that we are not allowed to discuss without it being vaped, edited, locked etc. That list I am sure is endless but no doubt will have things like, Muslim, Apple, Golliwogs, cocklink, asian/variations, welsh people
Other list could be stuff that might start a lively conversation and provoke some discussion but does not come under the banner of 'which ****ing washing machine/fridge/watch/pan etc should I buy !! '

Of course you are. You lack the cognitive dexterity to refute Tony's points. This was the first post after the mob had Tony banned the first time round:

Sure, we love discussing Subarus in Non-Subaru Related. At least the mods have kept you happy, Banny.
Makes me sick.

We need to make things a bit more fun, spice things up.
Was anyone ever daft enough to do the whole 'loaf of bread thing'
I for one would be willing to do it, if all you super hunky men would do it too.

I can't even pull F1 Fan up on his usual dribble about Lewis Hamilton being God. And I think he has 'blocked me'! Where's the fun in that?
Then again, he did go squealing like a little piggy to the mods, so may be he needs to start looking in the mirror for reasons why this forum is dying. Full of people that give ****e but are unable to take it.
Someone tell him what I said.

Well firstly I am chuffed you feel I have such influence over the mods as well as other users. You must really think I am some kind of leader of men or something..... more fool you!
Secondly the period I am referring to was way before your interest in Islamism and all the associated threads you and others have enjoyed creating about it. There was a lot more to NSR in those days than now and if you really think the NSR we have today is just as a result of my leading any charge against religious threads you are deluded.
However I think we both know that is not the case and what this post is about don't we? The things is I have hardly been here recently and certainly not for your friend's ban. It had zip to do with me (for once ) so maybe you need to have a look elsewhere for the reasons.
Put it this way I am not blaming you for the demise of NSR.... you may have played a small part who, knows, but I am talking about the bigger picture.

Anyway fair enough as you are entitled to your opinion and for the record I think you are a manipulator who much of the time manages to fool the mods and certain other users, but some of us can see past the facade.
So I guess we both know where we stand now

It's sad to see but Scoobynet has slowly gone down hill, even more so since IB took over. The old Webmaster certainly sold at the right time.
You can no longer fill a spare hour on here anymore as there are only about 10 threads in a full day now.
I've been looking elsewhere to fill my time but its a shame as i like Scoobynet and the people here.
The Admin / Mods need to loosen up on the moderation and allow some good debate, no matter what the topic. Where is the freedom of speech?
I'd like to know who vaped the Flag Burning thread last night, which mod was it?
Someone should create a new forum where we can go and discuss things freely. (not me though, I can't be ars3d

The trouble is there is no such thing as freedom of speech in reality.
There are libel and slander laws that counteract that and then you are into guessing when something is truly libelous and when it isn't? A fine line and not an objective one either.
Forum owners have to be mindful of this and that is why moderation exists in various forms and strengths.
My belief is that the recent inconsistency of moderation hasn't helped this place, but I also think the type of poster thse days has changed from five/ten years ago and overall not for the better.

mods can't do right. People moan they're not strict enough after constant moaning about tdw, then when they get strict people moan and say it's ruining SN.
TdW 1st ban was uncalled for , it only came around after a few select members Ganged up and moaned about it as they wasn't able to just ignore it.
So after pages of moaning about TDW the mods caved in and banned his ***.
Youve only got yourself to blame

At the bottom of this page you can see the following statement:
important - Opinions expressed are not necessarily the opinions of ScoobyNet or any individuals directly or indirectly involved in this website or the companies and individuals associated with it. No responsibility is taken or assumed for any comments or statements made on this or any associated or relating bulletin board.
How can you be held to libel and slender against a religion? Who is going to sue? Allah? His 72 Virgins?

i have to agree, quite entertaining
it reminds me of all the whinging losers at school though, running to teacher, I often wondered where they ended up
the only problem is I don't seem to be able to reply to any threads -- which is a shame, as I have some useful "life" tips for them

Those people who constantly moan about being oppressed and having their right of free speech banned always complains about other people who constantly moan about being oppressed and having their right of free speech banned.
Strange that.

I suggest one to log go onto the NP&E forums on PistonHeads if they really want to be offended.
It's free game over there, offend as much as you want (as long as it's Muslims and Pakistanis or chavs then it's all game). However if you are normal and not a bigoted middle aged man who still lives with his mother you will get banned if you give some back.

Oh that's right, you can't view my posts as you are not man enough to take some flack....you know...the same stuff you willingly dish out to everyone else. You wonder why NSR is dying? It is people like you ruining it for everyone else.
Just so that everyone is clear on how pathetic you are and the lengths that you will go to try and 'belittle' someone, below is a PM that F1 Fan sent me regarding some comments I made when he was slagging off JTaylor. Bullsh*t as per usual.
Chris,
Please stop now. You really have no idea what Taylor has said about me (it was removed by the mods as it would leave SN open to legal action - yes it was that bad) and I am happy for anyone to have an opinion, but I am not going to let a charlatan carry on dissing me.
If you can't understand that then please don't engage me ever again and I will do likewise.
Otherwise peace be with you
Chris.

The challenge, as I see it, rests with the fact that many current affairs around the world have Islam as a central theme. Revolutions in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt; uprising in Syria; sectarian conflict in Iraq; war in Afghanistan; near civil-war in Pakistan; 9/11 aniversary; Israel-Palestine/Egypt/Turkey; Oslo; Somalia; theism and so on. Everytime we attempt to discuss one of these subjects and Islam's mentioned it goes to rat-**** owing to provocation or sensitivity or ignorance or misunderstanding or deliberate de-railment when Islam is criticised.
