Lisa, I said in this thread elsewhere that I don't place all or even much of the blame on the mods and I stand by that. The only thing I say about the moderation at the moment is it is inconsistent and I think that in part doesn't help. Take for example this very thread. There is deliberate trolling by a poster who had posts removed for the same thing a week or so ago yet now nothing happens. That sort of thing pisses people off.
But for the main I think the type of poster now visiting NSR is the cause of its demise. The demographic has changed over the years for sure and that was bound to happen, but 10 or even 5 years ago nearly everyone on here had a Scoob and had that common bond... NSR was an adjunct to the Scooby General section of the forum.
Now we have people here who have never owned a Scoob and who make NSR their first port of call. These days it seems to be a lot more about oneupmanship, point scoring and getting the better of one's 'opponent' rather than debate. People with something to offer the forum often get shouted down and end up not posting on subjects that they know a lot about due to other posters feeling the need to be 'big and clever'.
It just isn't as nice a place to be as it was .... much like the UK really I guess

If there is no issue why do the mods here and elsewhere remove 'potentially libelous' posts?
You are delued if you think a website owner cannot be sued for the material it publishes even if that material is posted by a user of the site and not the site itself.

Well worth a read, how would Scoobynet Mods deal with that thread? Vaped in seconds I would think to the detriment of the forum. A lot like my educational Computing threads.

I think most of Team Islam would miss Mr. Fanatic. He's the George Galloway of Snet, a quisling, a fifth column poster.
How do you feel about criticism of Islam now being effectively outlawed on here, Shaid? It's been singled-out by the management for special consideration. Thanks for the PM, by the way, but I'd rather have the debate publicly when you're ready - just link me to a site.

As an aside, if you enjoyed that debate, you may enjoy this coversation from the Hay Festival a few years back.

Actually, I'd modify that to say revulsion towards female genitalia within the Abrahamic traditions has manifested as celebacy within the Catholic hierachy and there's a strong argument indicating that this contributes significantly to the perversion. Anglicanism does not enforce celebacy and the stats for acts of child-rape appear to reflect that significant difference between the sects.

I'm actually staying reserved on these forums as i don't want to get a ban.
I'll PM you with a site later. I don't want to search Muslim stuff at work.

Unfortunately it does. I don't think there is anything particularily wrong with Mr Taylor. I certainly don't see him as a bigot or anything however there is something beneath the surface which he needs to get out of his system. Dialogue is the best way for this.
