I'll bet every penny i own, every penny you own, Tim, and every penny that everyone reading this thread owns, that John Lynch has deep-rooted psychological problems, manic depression, maybe gender dysphoria and probably lots more besides. "Wandering round" St Albans tells you all you need to know. Not sure he helps the cause for tattoos one iota.

Not sure what the thing is with Koi Carp Tattoos, why not just get some fish, I quite like Koi Carp but not enough to have one permanently etched into my skin, guy at work has one, he seems to be having some late thirties crisis and has got this huge, very nice Koi done, makes him look like the wall of a Chinese Chippy.
I haven't got the attention span to carry off a tattoo, ok, bare skin is boring but its kind of easily ignored but a dirty great Fish on your arm is kind of a statement, makes him asymmetrical, [erhaps needs some chips for the other one.
There are probably easier ways to let people know how cool and edgy you are.

All I can say if I had the choice between two men, same/similar jobs, background etc and both a decent type of bloke, but one had tattoos, and the other didn't but the one without had a stinking, snobby high horse judegemntal attitude, i'm certain of which one would seem the more attractive generally.
I am not the sort if person to judge on physicality's alone, but I think that is a female way of thinking.
Sadly, not everyone can see that sometimes people's flaws are not the ones we can see and judge on the outside. It can be the people we are on the inside that's sometimes more disgusting.
But that's easy to hide isn't it??

Most judgements are usually made when not knowing someone, then in most cases, the opinion changes.
That isn't the case here. But that's what is fun right?

Have no problem at all with tattoos (I have 2. Both on my upper arms and are hidden when wearing a Tee Shirt etc) Mine are a personal thing from my Punk days (Crass emblem and Sepultura emblem)
When I was in my late teens, Early 20's I always had multi coloured hair usually in spikes. The only person who ever took offence to the way I looked was my old boss. He was an ex-Schoolteacher and treated all the staff as children. He was, typical of the time.......Mid 1980's and narrow minded. He hated the fact that all my customers loved the way I did things and was incredibly good at my job.
I later grew my hair into dreadlocks which I kept for 14 years. Again, very little aversion to it from the majority of people. Again, Did well in employment.
I now have one last bastion of my old Punk days in that I still wear a nose ring. I live in a very middle class village, Drive a BMW, Play Squash at a private club etc. 99% of my friends etc have no problems about the ring. There are though, A few of the parents at school who do give me a strange look etc. At the end of the day, That is THEIR problem due to their narrow mindedness.
I agree on the neck tattoo thing that they do look stupid and seem to be on the up within the Chav brigade. (Mansfield especially) Seems to be more and more women having them as well........
I've always said live and let live. If someone wants tattoos or piercings then that doesn't necessarily make them a bad person. Or, unable to do certain types of work etc.

I think there is a definate line between the people who go to the shop, and pick a picture ouf of the book, and the people take time to design a tattoo with meaning, and have it for a reason other than simply getting a tattoo.
A girl I know just had a butterfly on her upper back. She said it was a design she found online, and that she had altered it to make it look more personal. She altered it by changing the colour of the wings.
That to me is just typical of someone just wantin any tattoo, just for the sake of having one.

THEIR in pretty big letters. The wannabe-anarchist is still live and kicking, eh?
Saying that people are "narrow minded" because they have to look at something which they might actually find nauseous when they look at you is, somewhat ironically, pretty narrow-minded of you.

They don't have to look. "Or" pull a face when they see it. I am not offending anyone by wearing it IMO.

Personally I think tats on the neck look totally crap. It's an ugly, wannabe hardman look.
As for other parts of the body, well, the smaller the tattoo the better, but each to their own - apart from the neck!. Upper arm tats on blokes (and wee one on gals' bottoms or ankles) are ok.

Clooney's From Dusk 'till Dawn tatt' was quite cool. Having said that, he was a vampire slaying character in a Tarantino flick and lusted after by much of the planet's female population, which probably helped him pull it off. 'Nasty' Nick Cotton on the other hand.....

It's a good job that wasn't in indelible ink, injected under your skin, isn't it?
