not planning on 6 speed as i need to stop spending on this car lol,im the same, ive just spent 4k on jdm sti9 build,so i want the best out of it without breaking the box and still using 97 ron fuel as v power can be a pain to get round my way,i like the c/r 5 speed so one more map with this turbo(vf48) and that should be it then.
the vf24 is a good turbo but just dosent satisfy me enough.

Its not a good idea to max out the injectors, speak to your mapper see what he would suggest, always good to leave some room on injectors you dont want to be running the injetors at 100%

its something i dont know much about, obviously if i can get 340 on 97 id much prefer to map it with that, but if it only reaches 330 on 97 then id be enoyed i didnt map it for v power.im hoping for 320lbft also.

Be carefull with the torque, that will **** your box, had my type r up to 330 0n v power with a vf34, now i run it at 303 on 97 and 285 odd on 95 and to be fair there is not that much difference especially since the simtec as it runs alot smoother now.
But i do feel more at ease when booting it as i know i'm being as gearbox friendly as possible while still having a reasonably quick car, and as i'm not draging or tracking it i don't see the need to go mental.
But having said that i'm building a closed deck 2.1 over the winter

i am a very carefull and car will only get put through its paces once a week.
people have broke these boxes at less than 300 and some have been running 350+lb ft for ages with no probs, its completely pot luck.
maybe ill stick with the 97ron as i think this turbo will still pull 330+bhp and 310-330lbft on 97 ron.

I don't think it's so much pot luck as driving style and what sort of life it's had previously.
I drive hard but go easy on my gearbox, no launches and i don't rag the gears and no hard on off throttle, i also change the gearbox and diff oil around 10k but i don't drive it much so its not that often.
Good luck on the power and i hope the gearbox holds up for you as it's by far the best ratios iv'e had in a scooby and i love em can't beat a type r for sheer driving pleasure
