I've got a Focus ST now and love it,everyone who see's it says how nice it looks compared to a scooby.

Thanks for the replies

Have not really decided yet, and from what has been said above if the focus is as bad as a scooby on petrol i dont want one!!
I was expecting the focus and the astra to be half tidy on fuel.

What about an BMW E46 330?

2005 BMW 530 petrol can be had for 7-8k on autotrader.

Sold the impreza and ended up in a 51 plate 330 m sport and I can't fault it, great alround car just wish it had a little more power.

I have had my Vectra Vxr (Hatch) for almost 3yrs and it has been faultless. Will live with most things in the dry, not as bad as you think in the wet. Cheap to service, cheap to insure and lots of space inside.

Would suggest you read the links instead of listening to Top Gear influenced opinions.
