+1 for the above ,have a walbro 255 on my MY00 with oe FPR and similar mods to dan currently running 330bhp/326 lb/ft, no issues at all.

i'm the same.

MY00
FMIC
VF35
Walbro 255
K&N Kit
Sports cat downpipe, standard headers and up pipe
standard 2 port solenoid and FPR
ECUTEK remap

336bhp & 300lb/ft on standard internals and TY754 gearbox but hoping to add ported headers, up-pipe, full decat and 3 port for more torque. Ideally would like 340/340 and to get Simon at JGM to work his magic on it

bit OT but since when did a K&N 57i Induction Kit become MAF friendly on my99/00 cars?!?

Not necessarily friendly, but as far as Induction kits go, they are about as friendly as you're gonna get. I had on on my MY99 for 70k miles without issue although i did replace the maf every 30k for my own piece of mind

I think it's the best one you can get given what it is. I don't want it there. I'm going to try my absolute hardest to get the standard airbox on there WITH the FMIC - I've seen that a few people on here have done it.
