i hate it when people move the letters round, change the font, etc and then moan when they get pulled "thyve got nothing better to do" blah blah blah! like the rules dont apply to them.

I bought a cherished plate from a DVLA auction, I had to wait 10 years for it to be issued as they wouldn't put it up for auction until enough people registered their interest.
It spells out my first name perfectly and I paid a fortune (relatively) for it.
To the OP it only matters that you like it.

Sorry, but no that isn't all that matters.
What about the fact that it's illegal???? Does nobody care about that????
"Ah, as long as you like it, mate". WHAT??????

What I said was that as long as the OP liked the plate that is what matters, if he chooses to alter the spacing/digits etc and then use those altered plates on the road then I can't do anything about that.
But if the Police or a VOSA inspector stop the vehicle then he could have the plate taken by the DVLA; you only ever purchase the right to use the registration number and never actually own it.

just bought TU1260 2 for about 400 in total, which i think is a bargain! isnt very hard to make the 1 and 2 into a "R" like with a few screws and a show plate cant wait! i think £400's a steal for somin which looks like TURBO 2
anyone else have anything interesting as personalised plates goes?

.....and don't be put off by the fact that 99% of the population will see it and think 'what a total ****'

A few people on here say about members being "Chav's" and such ruining the Subaru Impreza reputation, that Imo that isn't the case, it is SOME of the people in this thread for example, who are obviously either sad, or immature and are chavs themselves.., just because i have decided to buy a plate for my car which i think looks like turbo 2, also i find it hard to believe how some of the people in this thread have used the word "chav" trying to define me, even though they have never met me, when a chav by definition is:
"chavs" are said to be aggressive and arrogant teenagers and young adults, of underclass background, who repeatedly engage in anti-social behaviour such as street drinking, drug abuse and rowdiness, or other forms of juvenile delinquency.[2]
also to the above Comment.., For a start I Dont give a flying **** what anyone else thinks about me or my number plate for that, if they don't like it they can go an **** themselves.

99jdee, all the yer rights in the world won't save you looking a complete chav in the eyes of 99.9% of people on the road.
NOTHING looks worse than a "personalised" plate that needs screws or irregular spacing to make it "work". You might (hopefully) realise when you're older. Just because your mates say it's well wikkid innit, doesn't make them right. Believe me.

Look, i think its time to lay off him now as he's obviously very upset. He's realised the mistake he's made in flushing £400 down the plughole on a load of useless letters and numbers that will never be what he wants them to be.
Lets stop taking the mickey out of him, he's going to have to put up with enough of that when goes on the road with that reg plate.
