There was a time when you could change the letters to make that look like "turbo 2" but they are long gone now, the Police will have that correctly spaced within weeks.
I've got 4 private plates but not one is actually on a vehicle. I've got both my kids full names spelled out pretty good ready for when they get older. I only bought them because they would never be available again.

Mamoon, you should come over my way then. Enough losers with crappy numberplates to keep an entire Police force busy here. I have no idea how many they stop and demand rectification, but not enough to stop a LOT of people making themselves look very, very stupid.

I see loads of private plates that you can tell were once spaced differently, but the Police must have made them change.
I.e. D4 VEB - which would have once been D4VE B

I bought a cherished plate from a DVLA auction, I had to wait 10 years for it to be issued as they wouldn't put it up for auction until enough people registered their interest.
It spells out my first name perfectly and I paid a fortune (relatively) for it.
To the OP it only matters that you like it.

Feel sorry for op as I don't think he expected to get so much stick!
I guess at the end of the day he's not hurting anyone and if it makes him happy. Live and let live I say.

I hadn't even thought of that one, but it would be worth getting hold of if available.
No, mine spells out my first name; the letter O is replaced by an 8 which was the closest possible way to get to my name. No squinting or guess work required to know what the plate spells out (to those doubters).
The registration number is not even on my Impreza it is actually on my runaround car.

What disappoints me most is that people like Wasif (if that's his name) above are actually proud of making themselves look complete and utter tools

I had CNT 648L on my 1973 type 2 VW camper. And if the Op wants a private plate let him... everyone mods there car's and someone won't like it.. But **** them do what you want fella.. Personally I think you could have spent £400 on some ****** or something but hey, its your cash.

I need to add... There was talk in government about getting rid of plates the way they are and letting you have anything you want - obviously no swearing etc... Think, free up Fuzz time, you pay for a plate and keep it for life & people will not see cars for their age...

This is the way forward. They do this in Germany.
But seriously mate, a numberplate with screws in and illegal spacing and your parting comment is "ah just let him, what harm is it doing" just staggers me, it simply does. It would look shockingly pathetic, never mind the legal ramifications. Sorry but i have zero tolerance for fcuked-about numberplates. There is no excuse for them.

I don't know about anyone else, but I actually want these twits who manipulate plates to get nicked. They probably drown kittens and smoke ganja too, you know what these criminals are like.
