I was reading on the PS Forums that some chap pre-ordered it from 4 shops to improve his chances of getting it early lol. Got a whole load of stick for it but Iike the thinking behind it. I may have been tempted if I was interested in the single player campaigns but the only time I will probably play them is if multiplayer is offline.

Preordered on the PC a couple of days ago so i get the extra Karkland expansion DLC for free.
Zavvi dispatched it this morning.
I was in two minds on which format to get, i REALLY wanted it on Steam, but that was looking sketchy, so i hung on, then i tested out the Origin/Battlelog thing in the beta and did not really like it much, so i figured i would just pick up the xbox version.
Then i realised the console version looks like dog ****

BF3 is live now folks (for the PC anyway) out of curiosity thinking it wasn't being released till tomorrow I tried loading my game just now and ended up getting into a 64 man server.

Seems Sainsburys are the first to do a deal but only of interest if you want some PSN or XBL points. £25 PSN points gets you BF3 for £24.99 apparently. Not much use to me tbh but might help someone else out.

Just picked mine up from Sains. They do only have the Limited Edition version for pre-orders only. Tried to give me a standard one even after showing my pre-order receipt. At first women told me it wasnt out yet lol. Installing now....

Not sure what to do. Was planning on just waiting for MW3. The only thing that worries me about BF3 is that it could be anything like Medal of Honor - is it not meant to bear a slight resemblance in terms of the way it plays? Think Medal of Honor was based on the last Battlefield game engine?
And I fooking hated Medal of Honor. Lol

Few things I've noticed on the PC version, theres no way to change your name, it tends to feel a bit jumpy and there's no way to check your ping rate.
Other than that it's bloody good, I've been getting some good/kill death ratios today!![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
All of which I assume will be patched quite soon.

If you love FPS games you won't go far wrong with this.
