yes long story, won the auction of the so called 500 bhp 30k spent beast which in reality was a 220 bhp standard mechanically **** body kitted piece of crap.
bid just for giggles as i knew it was all lies and before anyone complains i was full prepared to buy the car and use the running gear in a track day car if it really was as described.

well i was thinking something similar to the roger clark stripes ? but in black and graphite ? or i quite like the cusco in black and graphite ? but im swaying towards just wrapping my roof and bootlid in carbon to match my bonnet " which was my original idea " cant decide

Ooooh InitialD, you're on my wavelength with the Black and graphite. I was thinking of going for a sort of "ghost" stripe down the bottom, identical to the roger clark but in a sort of smoked effect rather than a bright colour.
Saying that, I do have red calipers and graphite wheels so its hard to know what would blend well.

When you wrap a part of your car in the carbon fibre look vinyl, does it not show the lack of depth that you get on a real carbon fibre panel? Or is it specially printed to give that look. You follow what I mean Mr D? I'm curious as it seems a much cheaper way of getting a carbon look, BUT only if you can't tell the difference.
For the record, I met Luke today and even if he was a chav you wouldn't say it to his face

its an internet forum, people have differing opinions of what they like, i personally dislike graphics and lexarse lights as i feel they cheapen the cars.
i am a newage sti owner but love the looks of the classic if its well done and subtle like hamsters.
i really like the look of the ops car other than the lights.

mine really doesnt look like carbon fibre . its 3m di-noc which i first saw on a crazy pickup truck about 3 years ago and thought it looked really nice . i dont they were trying to replicate carbon when they made it ? but its very similar . i think its not as tacky looking as the other carbon look vinyls ? and the quality is really very good Hamster like the sound of ghost style , nothing to lairy i think the wr blue is actually hard to match graphics with ?

Carbon parts aren't that cheap here. U got yrself a real bargain. Just a hood on its own was well over £870. U can get the wrap on Ebay but all dependant on size. Seen some that comes in at around £35. Just gotta be at the right place at the right time I suppose.

everything that real carbon has a gel coat that makes it glossy not textured but +1 for getting the real thing you need all the weight saving you can get with new age
#58
honestly mate its not as hard as u think ? as long as u have a heat gun and a bit about you , youll be fine go for it . even if it creases or bubbles u can pull it back and do it again , its quite forgiving .

lol my dads bigger than yours!

For the record, Mr Sonic has some serious mods under the bits people aren't keen on, and oooober light weight wheels too
I still don't like VTA's though

hi andy you get back ok or did little man kick off again, and you can tell the difference i got quoted £100 for a bonnet wrap and it look's nothing like the real thing and i got my carbon bonnet (not fitted) for the same price and got carbon wing's in the loft and the was only £100 plus £50 postage so mite be cheaper to get the real thing vinyl dose not last very well in the bad weather 2 years top's on 10year vinyl over here
