seems to be something fishy with it! anyone notice on the last photo there's a grill in front of the fmic but it has no grill in the earlier photos? or is it just the light that's deceiving me.

Without detailed spec lists to back up where all the money had gone you should always take it with a pinch of salt. Remember fellas, £100,000 is a serious amount of money and I can assure you very very few Imprezas in the world have had that amount of money thrown at them. Also take into account that when you say 'I've spent X amount' you should not factor in purchase price and general service/maintenance.
Domino is a well respected Admin of our local site, not sure on his exact spec but i will point him back in the direction of this thread so he can answer any doubters.

I saw this ad on ebay too and email the guy about how he got 500bhp out of a SC400. This is what he had to say...

"Honestly don't know mate we were all suprised when it ran on the dyno we put it down to the car being a 3.0 instead of it being a 2.5"

I was under the impression that bigger displacement made less lag but bhp stayed the same, anyone know if this is true?

Well a bigger displacement can result in more power but you are still limited by the boost pressure. Unless his intake is really good or the mappers don't calculate the efficiency correctly or his engine has a ridiculously low amount of friction it's unlikely.

I didn't say in my post that YOU have not spent a huge amount of money on your car fella. I actually said that 9 out of 10 people who quote huge figures are actually way off what they have actually spent.
You don't need to start posting pictures of bills etc chap to prove your spend..
Would love to see a spec list though fella, you must have one hell of a motor after 60 large....

I agree that costs do mount up. 10K is pretty much a given in these to see a reliable 400. But we are talking house money here chaps.
With 60/70/80K spends then you really will have one hell of a motor in your garage.

tell me about it to be far i'm not sure what everything come's to the bloke that stared the build on my car spent a fair bit plus what we've done think it's upto about 12k minus all the bit's that have been sold as upgrades have been done and we're almost there just need's the simtek mapping hoping to see 400bhp or close to it then just a paint job and maybe meth if i dont see 400 but all thats only 1-2k more and thats for 400bhp!!! and a full paint job for less than for less than 16k with buying the car in the 1st place

Strange thread this.

I quite like the look of the original black car this was posted about. Am also intrigued to see a full spec list of the car and some proper rolling road graphs. Can see how a 3.0 litre would make a little more power over a 2.5 but it seems unlikely it would make 100 more than the turbo has been previously rated and tested to.

Be very interesting to see some more detail if the seller is reading this?

By the way. GLWTS. Lol

p.s. Nice Blob mate!

Has that guy used the first camera ever invented to take those pics ?
What a shame its a smart looking car he should have spent £5 more on a throw away camera it would have done a better job...

Give £25k to rich at FBtuning and he will build you a 600+bhp monster.

With 50k I'm pretty sure you'll be heading towards a super car spec

This guy must have been giving his money away without any research
