Bloody hell, how can that scumbag go back in to business after what he's done?! If he has the money to open up a business he should be able to pay back John. Thanks for the update, at least we all know where he is and what he is up to.

Read the original thread over lunch.

What an absolute joke that guy is. If I was 40k down would be knocking on his door now he has opened up again and asking how he can start another business when he owes other people money. And it not just the fact he owes money, its the fact that he stole someone elses property!

Easy, look at Keith of ScobyProjects. Owes thousands. After ripping off a lot of customers, blatantly lying and cheating he has gone bankrupt and his former partner has re-opened a new garage in the same location offering car work again. Former partner has stuck two fingers up at the old customers unless they agree to carry out work at his new garage. They all need hanging simple as.

I've been to the old Sumo site a few times and it's blimming massive...any venture that's using the full site (are using the full site?), is going to have to have a shed load of start up cash available.

I've only just come across this thread, but in comparison to a similar incident with Verdi Ferrari two things strike me:

(1) there are people who will rip you off and lie no matter what the brand of vehicle

(2) the Ferrari owners involved didn't stand back and take this nonsense, they wound up his company, went after his home and pushed the police hard until the guy got a jail sentence - if someone stole my stuff I wouldn't be as relaxed as the GTR owner.

I think this case was featured on BBC's The Sherrifs Are Coming.

I personally thought he was ok although 1 job stretched from 1 day into 4 days but I was told he was running behind.

He is still working on Skylines and high performance cars.

I hope that this information is useful to those who need it. I wont be going back to him now that I have read all the information across many forums about him. Which is a real shame as he comes across as a nice genuine guy.
CJ1 - what has happened to Sumo? Have they moved to new premises?

Got to assume that the chap never got compensated?
It stinks that people like this tuner don't get their comeuppance. They should not be allowed to have any business interest again.

It's a car, is it worth your life and that of your family, yes it's a bitter pill to swollow, but how much is enough, this is not just about money the owner of the car needs to get his life back and not let this bloke take the really important things in life away from him

I'd still want to watch the c00nt burn though
Its thinking like this that allows these mugs to get away with it without retaliation, i have a family but if soe guy took me for £40k id be ballying up and snapping his knees, id imagine hell have a lot of enemies so i think id take my chances with the old bill charging me for it, they'd have to prove it first.

Default Tale of a tuner

Dear scoobyNet,

As Above says yes I am as shocked as you,
The only thing being it is not true and factually incorrect,

I carry on my business affairs with 100 percent dedication, Passion and honesty

To bring you up to speed on this topic I am actively preparing a lawsuit to sue John Fuggles

I also wish to clarify that John Fuggles did not under any circumstances try to ever help me out,
It would be more correct to say that he tried his hardest one way or another to have me over.

I hope sometime in the future I could post something more constructive and positive to your good forum than just the above

Thank You
Regards

Gary

I think you're three years late in attempting to defend yourself. Furthermore the defence of 'he tried to have me over' doesn't really cut the mustard. You had his car not vice versa.

Horrible story and yet another trader coming onto the forums and trying to defend himself, with just one comment and no real explanation! Is this another attempt to get a thread removed due to blah blah blah?
I can see this going the same way as the ch*shi*e pe*f**m**e thread

I was just about to mention something in his post that may give grounds for the thread to be removed but then realised that in some small way it could help the thread to be taken down so I will keep my mouth shut.

Maybe I've said to much already.

The thing that confused me reading this thread and the original thread was why did a guy so knowledgeable with a lot of experience send his car to someone that he now says is dodgy.

Anybody new to SN with NO experience can find a engine builder in half an hour and avoid this.

The pure nature of what Gary has posted will be the only factor that will result in this thread being removed! Not the comments that follow it like you're a troll,he's a troll, your all just tolling ect ect. This is a shame because I am all for freedom of speech and good honest discussions that inform people of the good and the bad. Facts are facts and should stay on the forum IMO

Gary was already acquainted with John. They'd had previous dealings so John didn't go in completely blind. Come on get with it Chris!

just to be clear, I wasn't suggesting anything you have said would impact on the thread in a negative way.

If all the admins remove the threads on the basis of alleged legal proceedings then search engines won't reveal Gary's shady past.
