Wanting to move but in negative equity

Interest Only mortgages are not available on a BTL at 100% .... this is not an option for the OP.
I would do anything to rent it out, however.
BUT, a clean break is very attractive - sell it and get out with no loss/small loss.
I would say good luck - but luck has nothing to do with it, PRICE has!
I am witnessing houses selling in our area within hours ... if priced well.
Overpriced tat sits around for ever ... and I mean ever.

Have you actually asked about the overall mortgage? What I mean is, you know what is left to pay but is there a discount for early settlement? Remember, you are saving years of interest here so you might not need 10k
apologies if the 10k figure takes account of that already.

Depending on area and decoration/state of the property, let it out IMO. If doing this, clue up on the tax situation and any breaks that come your way.

Selling was a no go really as I didn't want to have to find the extra a friend of mine just split from his long term ball and chain and he going to rent it on a long term lease so I don't really have to worry any more just got to sort the new house out and jobs a good one
