It always advised to move the locking collars and bottom mount before install to enable copper greasing of the threads. This will help make sure you can always adjust the rideheight a few years down the line.
Thanks

Me is excited now. Going to order my BCs in the morning.
I'm being a silly buger and going for the top spec ER model. Cost a bit more as i'm going for the Rally style long ones with assisters too. The IOM is a bloody bumpy place! Tarmac rally cars run forest spec suspension here it's that bad!

Right deal is done. Huge thanks to Bren and Kev at Apex, mainly for putting up with all my questions and hassle.
Here's a thought to entertain you all.
The 06STi standard kit runs like this.
Front. Inverted damper. This has 82mm of free travel then meets a 60mm bump stop that deflects 13mm for a 13st test load(my ***!) That's 95mm before the rate rises dramatically. Droop on level ground with no driver but half fuel is approximately 68mm. Not a lot , eh?
The rear end has 115mm plus 30mm out of 80mm total bump stop for same test conditions (couldn't cram any more pies). DRoop is 70mm out of 145mm total up to that rising rate again.
Is it any wonder the damn thing feels like it does. Cornering is a roll moment followed by the outside front loading up on the bump stop, getting harsh and underdamped and forcing the car to roll back onto the back rear lifting the inner front and causing understeer. The Anti lift/dive helps to prevent this but a stiffer rear ARB will help support the rear which can sag 45mm before the Bump starts to help support it.
The BCs have 150mm rear travel and I think I've gone for either 130 or 140mm at the front.
I'm REALLY looking forward to playing now.....

We place an air order every Tuesday and expect delivery the following Monday. However the ER Series are more complex than the BR Series and RM Series so there can sometimes be an additional week delay to produce. More so when the kit is customised a lot from the default specifications to meet the customers requirements, as in this instance.
This particular kit is due with us on Monday

Thanks Bren,
Really looking forward to fitting my stuff, probably because I didn't refit my O.E. strut properly and it's rattling a bit now! Only the spring not sat perfectly so I'm not too bothered.
I'm like a little boy waiting for the day to open his Christmas presents now!
I've missed that feeling for years! Sweet. Thanks!
