They've just had enough.
Never seen it like that but know others who do. Putting those that are left behind to one side I actually think it takes a strong will to kill yourself. Even though those that do kill themselves often appear weak willed.

I do know someone who's husband committed suicide, needless to say she thinks he is a selfish **** for leaving her the kids to cope.

RIP Speedo
One of my favourite footballers when i was growing up, am absolutely gutted.
Who knows what happened. He was very much a family man, so i'd assume it was something to do with that.
It's easy to point fingers, and call him selfish. But if he was about to loose the biggest thing in his life, for whatever reason, then who knows what state he was in.
My fiancee means the world to me, and if i was going to loose her god knows what'd go through my head.

One of footballs honest guys.
Some of the posts regarding this are awful... Im shocked people could write something like that about a good guy

There was a point in my life where i had nothing. I'd gone from a lot to very very little in a very short space in time, i won't go into details. I made a genuine attempt to end it all, luckily though i had good people around me that put a stop to it.
That aside Speed had everything going for him, and I'm sorry, knowing people with depression there is no hiding it, someone with depression would be widely known for it within family and peers.
I didn't know him, he wasn't particularly a hero of mine but i'm stunned to hear the news that someone so successful and so well respected, and of course so young has passed away suddenly. His family are probably speculating and trying to find reason, out of respect for them as well as Speed, lets leave it untill we know more.

Sorry, but i'm with Davyboy on that point. Unless you've been on the 'recieving end' then your comments about a 'dark place' are worthless.
Either way, RIP Gary, shame it came to this. Thoughts with his family, especially his kids.

Selfish period.
Definitely thoughts with his family! Dealing with a family death as I have found out myself these last couple of weeks is a massive stress, nevermind the actual death of a close one. I cant imagine how bad it would be if the death was due to a suicide as well.

Which would make NSR pointless would it not? This is a forum where everyone can air their opinion - you are entitled to yours and everybody else is entitled to theirs. If you have trouble reading sommat you don't agree with then maybe a forum ain't the place for you???

I think if he was I'll or had a condition we would have known about it, or someone would.
I have a feeling a news paper was about to report something about him or his wife.
