We had 4-5 inches of the white stuff yesterday which brought the Dutch railway system to its knees, as usual.
Not that I care as I drive to work everyday and was home almost without hindrance. Went into the office this morning and the car was showing -15oC which is the coldest I've seen here in the 10 years I've lived in holland. Of course the snow isn't going to melt soon and i had a great day today mucking around with the kids in the snow!

I am due to be driving from the South up to Leeds tomorrow afternoon, you reckon I will have any issues driving into Leeds city centre?

Was driving down the M40 to London on Saturday night. Absolute chaos.
It wasn't the weather that was the problem, but the idiotic way people drive! With the number of jack knifed lorries on the side you would think that they would slow down, but oh no, they know best!
Had to do the whole run at about 40mph max, as driving through the snow on the road, but I still had the odd idiot tailgating me!!
Lost count of the number of Mercs crashed on the hard shoulder though.

I was out at 06.30 yesterday just after it had finished snowing here, it was 6"-7" deep and even though the roads had been treated they were in an appalling state (still snow covered with rutted tracks that were freezing). I was driving my Pathfinder and taking it slowly as no car can drive normal speeds in that amount of snow with the added risk of black ice yet I had some tw@t in a Volvo saloon sit right up my backside for about 10 miles trying to make me go faster. When going round corners my car was twitching all over the place so I was right not to be going any faster yet this fool thought his/her car was oblivious to snow and ice

It has been much warmer in N.Wales with the sun shining bright on the clear sky over the weekend, which allowed me to take a very pleasant drive to-n'-fro Anglesey without encountering any fog, snow or ice. Nice. Mind you, I saw some fog coming down in the neighbouring sleepy town today. It was covering half the ancient church like a nun's veil. I expected an owl to give a spooky hoot, or a bat to go flap-flap-flap; followed by a ghost figure appearing to breakdance on Thriller music. It didn't happen. Never mind. Basically, it's all very foggy and cold here atm with no snow whatsoever.

We've still got it here, road still covered and frozen solid. Don't want any more and wish it would warm up so what we have would melt and go away. Snow once a few days old looks a bloody mess and dirty.
