I've slept outdoors in a tent when it was colder
True btw......I spent the night in Malvern dithering in a tent whilst it was -3 in in a 2 season sleeping bag I couldn't even cook breakfast the next morning because my gas had frozen (butane...that I left in the rucksack ).

It is not fear. It is inconvenience. I exaggerate my annoyance in my posts for the sake of it, because I am not exactly fond of snow either. No one born and bred in hot climate and blessed with Reynaud's in their hands will be in love with snow, if not loathe or fright it. I am not that bothered TBH. Not living in North Pole or something, like. I actually find occasional snowfall quite playful, beautiful and romantic. No exaggerations there.

I'm off to Sweden in March to hopefully see the Northern Lights.
The forecast for little airport we fly to from Stockholm reckons this Saturday it will be -17 daytime and -23 at night. Sounds like a proper winter to me

Quite a good possibility, for major snowfall from Midlands to the South this weekend. If this LP System stalls against the Cold, there will be major Snowfall.
Forget about it getting Milder, i think the cold win win, this Russian HP is too big for the Atlantic to win out.

Yeah but the BBC says it will be Sunny all day today, partly cloudy on Saturday and sunny all day again on Sunday where I live. Not even any suggestion that there will be a snow flake

Met office can't even predict the snowfall due to the uncertainty of the Lp system. It's going to be down to window watching and Nowcasting.
Tomorrow morning, they should be more on the ball regarding the area's for snowfall.

Great, driving to Notts Saturday. I'm not worried as I know the capabilities of my car and tyres. It's the unprepared ***** out there that will delay me
