Well, if the payments are by gift, there is no real connection to the recipient apart from being in a relationship. You might be able to get the money back from him, but paypal will have no part in getting money off her.

The longer you all leave it, the less chance you'll have of getting the £.

Get in ya car and knock on his door, otherwise he'll know he's dealing with keyboard warriors with no minerals.

If someone owed me that sort of money, they wouldnt owe it for long.

I am lucky that I have been scammed and if I was it would only be for small amounts, the most I have spent on here was £250 on a vf35 and the seller had good history.
There are more and more scams going on nowadays.
Christmas becomes even more of a scamfest with scammers going for it full hammer.
I have noticed a few newbies hitting the forums and trying to bump there post numbers up just to look more respectable.

Be wary of people bearing gifts!(unless it's the 3 wise men)...
Keep em peeled...................

The longer you leave it to nail him, the less chance you have of retrieving any money. I talk from experience, concerning substantially more money, allowing the law to take care of it instead which turned out (and is still ongoing), to be an absolute waste of time with the fraud squad/Courts/Prison all singing from a separate hymn sheet and not knowing what each other are doing.

This clown is a scammer, nail him now.

I think Shaid has already been to his house and confronted him, only to be fobbed off again and left empty handed.

I had a chat with Jimmy earlier, and it would appear that a lot of info on Sonic is being gathered, and he'll be getting some visitors fairly soon. Just seems a shame that he has a missus and kid that may get dragged into all of this.

He is a member of a 4x4 communit called http://www.mudmuppet.com/ in fact our culprit is here (big guy eh - i mean look at him, he's even taller than the car!!!!) http://www.mudmuppet.com/members.htm number 47 standing next to his Toyota off roaders thing. I'm just thinking if he's managed to scam anyone in the 4 x 4 community.

I've spoken to another member of SN this evening who naturally asked about this thread and was told that it was in fact 'me' who failed to meet him and he was the one chasing me. He claimed he has refunded the monies and that i'm the one trying to scam him Bless his rubber boots

PM Sent Spoon.

I didn't leave empty handed. I left with the keys to some Subaru. Believed to be to his Impreza Gravel. The location he showed me on Google street view, where this apparent Gravel is locked away securely behind the security hut only that he didn't know that the security guard working in said hut only turned up to be an old work client What a small world we live in eh. He told me in no uncertain terms that 'Shaid, er... someone's having you on mate, there is no Subaru here'.

He even told me how to start it with his fob thingy and insisted it was his only key and to make sure i don't lose it . Then roll on a short while and he said he was going to collect it himself. Although it must be noted that he has not requested for this key from me at all.

Which begs the question. Who's key do i have? and to what Subaru is it?

Methinks someone should have pointed Sonic the Scammer at the Hightee thread..... I doubt he would have let it get this far... as it is he can't really complain if bad karma starts happening can he now?

Which again begs another question if you are setting out to scam why leave such a virtual footprint?

I can relate to that Shaid, i'm friends with Chris Judd on the UK Leggy forum and before I got my Impreza he found me a Leggy RS near him that I fancied. Chris was going to pay/collect it for me but the seller sold it the night before, even though he'd done a deal with me. I didnt see another RS after that so bought my scoob instead.

Chris is buying a GTB this weekend hopefully.

Anyway, back on topic, so when are all people who've been robbed getting together up in Leigh to "chat" with Mr Giles?

Aaaah! Small world.

I bought my coilovers off Chris and yes i really hope he does buy that one.

Back on topic - Well i suppose we could always have a meet in Leigh at Luke's house as well. Maybe he could make the coffee, refund our monies and then entertain us as to why he could not commit to his promises.

So meet at Luke's on Sunday anyone?
