WTF is this car?

I'd imagine the car in the link is a V3 STI type RA but for some reason has had a different rear quarter put on.
It's also got a sticker on the boot that can't quite be made out. Wonder if it's a late registered V2 STI RA Vlimited with facelift bonnet, grill and lights put on...
Really need the 8 digit number from the vin plate, it's the only way to be sure.

My Scooby comes up as a GX when insuring, but I checked the vin no. and it's a Type RA. I'm puzzled as it I don't have a roof vent thing, but it was originally white and is an import. I checked all this in dept as I wanted to know what I had andes this thing was quicker than previous scooby's I'd driven. I found out it was the 280bhp version. Oh and it has the arias on the rear quarter.

Ok, but I can assure you this is definetly an Sti. I eat wrx's in mg zr turbo, but this would definetly give me trouble it pulls very hard and I find my self changing gears really quickly.

Agreed, both the WRX and STI (saloons) produced 280ps (276bhp) @ 6,500rpm, but the STI version produced more torque... The STI was 253.1lb ft to the WRX's 242lb ft.

I already did this research and checked the VIN as I thought it was a load of rubbish when I first got it, but after fixing the knock sensor and changing boost sel, it came to life. At that point I needed to know what I had just unleashed. A beast I tell you! I know for sure this is no WRX.

Ah, she rips through the gears so quickly it's carzy. Boosting hard from 5000rpm. It just use to back fire at this point before I got it sorted.

No one noticed that little badge on the left hand side of the boot?
I'd say it was a version 3 STI v-limited, the colour gets me though, they are normally blue but it wouldnt be the first time you had a white one turn up (its been known, either a factory prototype or a 1 off), which may account for why it has 2 arials (and a rear wiper).

The type RA had shorter gearing so yes, they do rip through the gears.
I have a DCCD gearbox from a version 6 STI type RA fitted in my Legacy GT-B and I'm forever hitting the rev limiter so I know the feeling well!

Gonna have to get it off the car tomorrow as its not saved on this computer. Will post it around 5pm or just before. But I'm pretty certain it's a Sti RA.

Its fitted with a rear wiper so it wont be an RA, hence v-limited comments above which had the roof vent and rear wiper but based on a standard STI.
You would be amazed how many people thing that because it has a roof vent its an RA and advertise as such.
